Bottle from zdk. Toasty, cheesy aroma, pine. Crisp, slutty flavor, light sweetness, a touch of bitter; can’t think of much else to say. Very just basic lager.

Pours like any boring pale lager, with a yellow tinge and very little head. Smells of grains, barely, and some alcohol. Taste isn’t so bad - has a good sweet grain mix with some alcohol and a dry finish. In the world of Ukrainian pale lagers, you could do worse.

Straw-golden body, white foamy head mostly diminishing. Grassy aroma, a bit sour. Mild citric taste with a vaguely bitter ending. Subdued sweetness. Dry and dusty texture Otherwise rather anonymous. Ordinary for the style. 500ml can from a kiosk in Kiev (Boat cruise on Dnieper River, 09.07.2009).

Obolon #3 of 3. Thank God I’m done with this experiment.
Ok, I’m not quite sure where to go with this one. I did think it was some what interesting to start off with but what the hell was I thinking? Solid gold with a thin white cap. hahahah ! I love this new "Find your Ukraine beauty today!!!!" add on BeerPal. It’s awesome! How did they know that BeerPal was THE place for the hook up? You can come over to Canada to live with me but you are required to do 8 things - one is to keep my house clean and the other 7 are all filthy perverted requirements. Back to reality and pondering my wasting of 3 bucks.. three times. The aroma is odd: buttery? Yes. Corn from the can, some form of low quality mild flowery perfume sprayed on a sweaty neck. Strange, the aroma here has actually increased as far as being tolerable goes. The taste is also buttery with not overly cheap grain, ok sweetness, mild yet obvious hops. My stomach has settled and this is not the abomination I thought it was. Decent carbonation, some what of an oily feel, finishes plain. And here concludes the great Obolon tasting. Never do this yourself.

I picked this beer up at the liquor store. Can had no markings to refer to country of production ABV. Pour is golden straw colour with thin clingy white head. Lacing is moderate. Aroma is malty and grainy. Not much else. Expectations were low before tasting. Taste is weet malts and grainy. Extremely boring palate and water downed feeling.

Aroma is moderate malty, bread, grain, toasted, sweet malt, toffee, cardboard notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090321]

Golden pinkish liquid with small white head, aroma of extremly pleasant caramel, some honey and some brown sugar, flavor is corny with some malt, rice and low hoppy finish, quite watery, flavor is disappointing compared to the aroma.

Can. Steady carbonation. Gold. Whit thin head with mushrooms created by the continuing bubbles. Aroma has mild sweetness and a cream fruit-vegetable-grain quality. Inoffensive beer tastes like it smells. Finish is a little pineapple like.
