I think this is a better beer than the car of the same (similar) name. This one was not a common denizen of the kiosks like some of the others but was a good beer when available. This had a bit of the premium lable to it, compared to the svetle and other blander versions.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one-for some reason I expected a bland pils. What I got was a sweetish bronze coloured beer. Quite tangy with a slight biterness. Life is all about surprises and this was one of them. Not a great but worth trying. Like other writters mine was a 5.2 not 4.5.

Ukraine’s most successful brewery, Obolon is largely owned by the brewery workers, though the Sarmat brewery has recently been forcibly buying up shares. This is decent beer, slightly sweet but with a good malty tang. It’s 5.2% ABV.

clear pale yellow colour, nice foam and lace, malty, grainy and herbal, sweet with a dry slightly bitter and quite unpleasant aftertaste

Not a bad beer. I was quite surprised really. This pilsner has some taste! Not much in the way of the dryness expected but this is still a relatively pleasant sweet beer. My Zhigul was 5.2% not 4.5%
