A brown porter that’d be a great beer on its own is even better with a subtle toasted coconut character that complements the dark grains wonderfully. A complex and exotic potion that’s an easy drinking, refreshing tropical elixir.

Decent porter, but a little bland. Barely taste the coconut. Wish this had more flavor, could have been great.

12 oz can poured, picked up in St. Pete. Pours a near black cola with a disappearing head. Cookie spice, chocolate, and coconut aroma. Flavor is sweet, and semi syrupy. Coconut comes through if you look for it. I enjoyed this more as it warmed up a tiny bit. It’s advertised qualities really come out at that point. Nutty, sweet over toasty finish. Decent beer here.

appearance: medium clear brown, short and fizzy brown head that quickly fades, no lacing. aroma: light milk chocolate, toasted nuts, malted milk shake powder, caramel, whisper of coconut. taste: sweet, slightly toasty, with a hint of coffee but mainly milk chocolate, cola and/or root beer, toasted brown bread and some nuts. finish: perhaps a hint of toasted coconut, with lingering malty and slightly nutty sweetness. notes: Better to advertise this as, say, a coconut brown ale rather than a porter. Color and body were too light and thin, and flavors were not bad for a brown ale, but as a porter were not in accordance with the style. Can from Knightly Spirits, Disney 2016.

Clear dark brown, average tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of sweet malt, no coconut. The flavor is lightly sweet, almost a Cola flavor, again no coconut. A bit thin, below average Porter.

From a can. Pours cola brown with a head that dissipates almost immediately. Tastes like roasted malt, sweet chocolate syrup, coconut, vanilla, some wood, and a little watery. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like roasted malt, chocolate, toasted coconut, and syrup.

Can. Pours clear, cola brown with head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, coconut, and some nuttiness. Flavor matches the aroma and is nicely carbonated but comes off a little watery. Light/medium body.

Pours a dark mahogany with tan fluffy head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, and loads of coconut. Smooth and creamy coconut, coffee, and chocolate.

Brown. Nutty. Really sweet. Only a hint of coconut, and mostly at the end. OK, but not great. Thx Homer321.

Dark brown body with a thin, very fast-dying tan head, only a bit of froth on top after a few seconds. Aroma of malt, coconuts, earth, nuts and a faint bit of alcohol. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive coconut flavour at first with less malt than expected, but more nuttiness and cardboard flavours, coupled with the very subdued sweetness and corn flavour. Aftertaste shows almost no body at all - this is watery, but also not much depth and no complexity. Overall, a decent beer at best - it is drinkable, but not showing much of anything to make it a repeat buy, even if I could get this one. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Knightly Spirits (Orange Blossom Trail) in Orlando, Florida on 01-October-2015 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 10-December-2015.

Can (Sep 17, 2015 canning). Head is initially small, fizzy/frothy, light brown, mostly/fully diminishing. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (nuts, grain), with notes of cola, musty basement. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation. Almost more like Coca-Cola than beer. And where, oh where, is the coconut? Really dopey.
