I dunno, I guess I’m a sucker for a decent porter. I haven’t had anything of note from this brewery, but hell, I’d buy a sixer of this. Nose is sweet chocolate, a tad of roast, grain, and not a lot of coconut. Just a hint. Same for the taste. A bit of a metallic vibe sometimes, but otherwise easy and tasty. Light palate. Pours very dark brown with a creamy mocha head and light lacing.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a reddish, chestnut brown with a magically disappearing fizzy, tan head. Robust caramel coffee aroma. Soft and moderately carbonated, but gets a little astringent toward the finish. The features noted in the nose are detected in the flavors and just as obtrusively. There is no discernible coconut, but a lot of fruit gets expressed in the flavor that wasn’t picked up in the aroma.

Can. Deep brown with one finger head. Light sweetness with just a faint hint of coconut. Also, this seems like a brown ale at best, definitely not a porter.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a coffee brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is coconut and metal. Has a bit of a coffee taste and a fair bit of coconut but it’s very weak. Finish is a tad bitter but not memorable.

Quite difficult to find in here. Nice to drink and very coconut alike. Refreshing and thin too.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle- Thanks Bernie. Pretty average porter. Unfortunate, because I love porters and coconut. Didn’t taste much coconut. Got some roasted chocolate notes and some wheaty malt. Otherwise a bit of a disappointment.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours a light brown color with ivory head. Pretty much cereal grains on the nose; same for the palate. I picked up no coconut or toasted coconut.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours from 12 oz bottle a very dark ruby brown, nearly black. Thin white layer of foam quickly dissipated. Aroma of dark chocolates, licorice, some faint coconut, roasted malted barley. Flavour is subdued, chocolate and roasted barley, coconut not present on my palate, if so very faint. Marginally decent porter, but yet its not my fave style either.
