COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is Occidental’s homage to the delicious ale of Cologne, Germany. Crisp and dry, it is clean and lager-like, with a pleasant, slightly spicy hop profile supplied by German Perle. Very "sessionable."

On draught at Occidental. Crystal clear and golden. Light floral aroma. Tastes crisp, biscuity, malty, and just slightly sweet. Really refreshing. Quite possibly the best kölsch I have had.

Dark gold, aroma is s bit of noble and a bit of sweet pale malt...harvest time! Taste is way off...sour, grainy/husky, not enough bitterness. Nowhere near kölsch and it’s not much of a golden ale either.

This is exactly what I hope for out of a Kolsch. The very slight sweet body nestled in fruity tones is balanced brilliantly with the touch of hops. Nothing overpowering. Very tasteful. Highly recommend.

Golden pour. Very clean, kolsch. Some citrus characteristics without having too much hop impact. Easy drinking, refreshing.

On tap at Orenco taphouse. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A light toasted malt nose, some lemon zest. Malty, esters, dry, light spicy, cereal. More spices and lemon. OK.

Pours yellow with white head. Nose is pear and floral, no sulphur. Flavour is same with some pils characteristic, very bright. Really liked this one, makes me question why breweries tend to make the Blondes for the crossover lager drinkers instead of Kolsches, but then I guess this is just a really good example of the style.

Can:   Straw, very faint haze, small sudsy white head, little lacing, light carbonation.   Straw and hay on the nose.   Up front I notice its sweeter than most.   Straw and hay are strong.   A little spritzy, some pale wheatiness.   Very clean, easy, and less dank than others.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Sweet straw and hay linger, also faint fruitiness.   A bit thicker than others, also sweeter.   Very easy to drink.   Not real bright, but clean, and great for summer!

Can. Pours gold with a white head. Plain malts, light crackery notes, some faint sweetness, and faint hops. Nowhere near a bright and fresh as it should be.
