Quick dissipating off-white head atop a medium brown body. Initial nose of rubber but gives way to alcohol. Strange. Light.

Fatehunter (2275) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - SEP 26, 2014
Pours a thin head on a ruby colored body. The aroma is rich caramel and plum. Nice. The taste is lots of caramel sweetness, but great balance and not too sweet. The texture is thinner for a doppelbock with moderate carbonation. It’s nicely drinkable and true to style.

Very deep red beer. Very pretty color. Sort of a hammy aroma which is nice. Massive dog flavor in first sip. Very nice! I like to take big gulps of doppelbocks and let them sit in my mouth a bit before swallowing. That didn't come out right but u get the idea. Medium in maltiness with bit a Koenig lingering flavor. The back of the mouth doesn't get too much involved as the flavor finishes neatly in the tongue. I could drink this one a lot! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bottle from LIfesource Natural Grocers in Salem OR. $5.99 Pours a deep dark brown with a thick, and frothy tan head. Good looking beer here! Mostly heavy malt aromas..including marzipan!! which I enjoyed!, chocolate cake and caramel also. Taste is very creamy smooth..the usual dopple tastes maybe a little subdued for a US one but to style! More along the Salvator line than Celebrator. Mouth feel is luscious, smooth, creamy but leaves a dry ashy hint in the end. Nice dopplebock..worth trying.

WheatKing (1328) - Phnom Penh, CAMBODIA - APR 25, 2014
Bomber. Pours translucent dark brown with rubeh tonez, dissipating beige head. Nose has smooth grain, apple but that somehow works here, toastiness. Hops are low. Flavour is light toffee, toast, not especially strong plum or chocolate, more apple which like I said somehow works. Hm the ABV is lower than you’d expect from an American brewery for this style, didn’t realize that! Like a phat weekapaug of beers, worked well, the way I like my lagers, clean, toasty, and fruity.

5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - APR 6, 2014
Bottle:   Big dark breadiness, muted caramel.   Very rich, but not heavy.   Really reminds me of a lot of solid German examples.   Heavy breadiness, a touch of soy sweetness, muted caramel.   Simple yet solid.

Gerbeer (3165) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 29, 2014
On tap. Pours a very dark brown with light head. Aromas of sweet dark caramel and roasted malts. Flavors of molasses light licorice and malts. Very sweet but still pleasant.
