Fantastic back currant aroma. Dark mahogany. Butterscotch, coffee blackc. Nice body, this was the best bevarage at the brewery this time, even better then the porters!

Jul 13, 2009 Cask @ Bishops Arms, Malmö. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted mmalty nutty caramel aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish with some hints of caramel in the aftertaste.

May 12, 2009 Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Pours out in a dark brown colour with a creamy beige foam. Rich roasty aroma of nuts, fudge, raisins, anise and dark bread. Medium-bodied with really well-blended flavours of roasted malts, raisins, fudge, mild spices, and licorice. Long dryish chocolaty finish. As always; Ocean on cask is superb.

Apr 14, 2009 On tap. Clear, warm reddish brown with a tall, dense shaving foam style off-white head. Roasted and lightly smoky malt aroma. Medium body, lightly roasted and lightly sweet malt accents - again with a vague smoky edge. The finish is dry. 260309

Dark brown/amber. Creamy off-white head.
Dark butter-scotch and milky chocolate in the aroma.
Some leather and barnyard in the flavour. Slightly smoked with a dry, slightly papery, bitterness.

Mar 30, 2009 Draught at Bishops Arms, Järtorget, Göteborg, Sweden. Dark copper, medium off-white head. Light-roasted nutty malt aroma with some dark fruits, along with spicy and earthy hops. Light in body, soft carbonation. Dry with a long bitter finish. Perhaps too bitter to be called a mild, but highly drinkable.

Clear dark red to black color, smallish tan head. Hoppy and fruity taste with some nice caramelly malt. Malty caramel scent with some nice toffee notes. Medium to spritzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Fruity aftertaste.
