Draught (cask?). Medium amber with a light haze, white head. Malty nose with some yeasty notes, caramel, fudge, light chocolate, apricots, hops. Dry, medium body, quite high bitterness, appropriately low CO2. Malty taste, caramel, hops, yeast, and a faint earthy note (characteristic of many Ocean beers?). (2011-04-06)

Draught at The Rover, Göteborg. On March 29, 2011
Clear copper color, dense tan head. Fruity, bitter, metallic, grainy, berry taste. Smooth yet a bit to the thin side mouthfeel. Bitter aftertaste. Fruity, berry, sweet scent. Medium bitterness.
I like it, not too much poking you for attention, just a nice smooth easy to drink, nice ale. Go get it!

Bottle 50 cl from Systembolaget, on September 1, 2011
Malty, sweet, candy, almond paste scent. Clear red color, off-white head. Malty, mineral, sweet tatse. Malty and mineral aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, low to medium low bitterness.
Not as nice as the one I had on draught.

Sample at SMÖF 2011. It poured a clear dark brown liquid. Smell and taste of dark malts and chocolate. Nice and easy to drink, but I got a feeling I would grow tired if I had a full 50 cl glas.

50 cl bottle from systembolaget göteborg. Pours clear amber with a large creamy light brown head that stays for a long time. Aroma of bread with some citrus notes. light sweetness, light bitterness, light sourness. A bit hoppy finish. ok but a bit boring.

0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a clear nutty-brown one with a medium sized off-white top. It smells light peppery-spicy. Some cardboard, sweet caramel and yeast hints. Also traces of chocolate paper. It’s average carbonated and it has a thin watery mouthfeel. Hmm.. More cardboard in the taste. Lot’s of thin watery chocolate paper, some dusty hay, chestnuts and some light burned caramel. Quite a spicy peppery aftertaste on this puppy. Not a great or memorable beer imo, but it’s more than enough to call drinkable. 05.01.2012

Sampled from a bottle. Pours chestnut brown with a tan head. The alcohol is immediately apparent along with a caramel taste from the malt. Some hop flavours in the finish, but strangely lacking in flavour. Not very fruity and not very dry. A little bit disappointing.
