A beer that is content to stay in the background while the other kids are in the moshpit. Once you talk to him, he’s friendly and easy to get along with though.

On-tap. Ölrepubliken Göteborg. Almost black colour with a beige head. Fruity, licorice, chocolate, vineous, alcohol. Rather sweet. Not that heavy on the roastiness. Medium body. Light carbonation.

Dark, roasted aroma with milky chocolate.
Salty and slightly vinous.
Cold coffee and chocolate in the flavour.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2012 (Draught) Pours black with a nougat colored to pale brown head. The aroma holds super fruity and fairly sugary up front with undertones of sweet liquorice, tobacco, black currant, black berries, green apple, spicy hops and dark chocolate roast. The flavour light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of fruits, berries, sugar, mild cocoa roast, balanced hops, leather and soft liquorice. The mouthfeel is round, fairly soft and light sticky with light carbonation. Sugar, light caramel, mild roast and soft hops n the finish. Medium bodied.

Draught at Ölrepubliken, Göteborg, Sweden. Black with medium beige head. Roasted aroma wioth some fruity notes, tobacco, and salmiak. Meidum bodied, soft carbonation. Semi dry with salty bitterness.

Very dark brown to black color, light brown head. Sweet, alcohol, malt taste. Lingering licorice and roasted aftertaste. Moussy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Sweet, grainy, alcohol scent.

tap @ Ölrepubliken. Pours pitch black with a small creamy tanned head leaving lace. Aroma is quite weak roasted malty, a bit fruity. Flavor is fruity, roasted, sweetish, bitter and a bit molassis. Finishes bitter sweet. Not quite an Imp Stout imho.

Draught at Ölrepubliken. Pitch black, small brown head. Milky aroma, roasted, malty, licorice notes. Malty flavor, milky, tar, some hops, metallic. À bit thin.
