Kolsvart med stort ljusbrunt skum! Doftar lite rökigt och ganska sött! Smaken är rökig med lite kaffe och choklad. Ganska tråkig..

Keg at The Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg, 23/03/14. Pitch black with a big old tan head that retains well. Nose is light roast, coffee vanilla, malty, chocolate pudding. Taste comprises roasted malt, molasses, chocolate fudge, sweet pangs, vanilla, light booze. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, sweet close. Ok but lacks a little depth for the ABV, whilst well integrated, comes over a little too sweet and one dimensional in flavour.

Bottle. Pours a jet black body with a medium creamy off-white head. Nose is dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, leather and hints of salty licorice and dark sweet malts. Taste is cocoa, ashes, dark chocolate, coffee and burnt toast with hints of caramel and herbal grass notes in the finish. 8 Full body, medium to high carbonation. At last a solid beer from Oceanbryggeriet, this one is very drinkable indeed.

Tap at The Bishops Arms Järntorget (Göteborg). Poured a dark mahogany with a thin frothy tan head. The aroma is alcoholic liqourice. The flavour is strong bitter with a rich roasted malt alcohol liqourice bitter fruit light hop palate and a long malt bitter finish. Looked great and was great to taste but the alcohol/strong liqourice bitterness is starting to dominate and that’s never a good thing.
