COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with six different malts and five differnet hops. Complex flavours and aromas. Suits the Swedish julbord or as a social drink at the pub.
Changes 2009: Slightly less amber malt. New hops: Galena (50%), Pilgrim (25%) and Perle (25%) for bittering. Cascade and Bramling Cross for aroma.
Changes 2011: Higher BU: 35 30 minute hop: Willamette Late Hops: Willamette & Cacade. Black Malt added instead of amber malt. Over all more hops are used both for bittering and aroma.

Aroma: Smelling of grain, nuts, apple, resin and hay.
Appearance: A clear chestnut colored beer. A low off-white head with small lacing and some curtains.
Taste: Tasting of brown bread, bitter orange, nuts, clove and hint of sweet licorice.
Palate: Low carbonation, a soft texture. A small body with a slight dry finish.
Overall: A calm balanced brew.
Note: Cask at a De Klomp tasting. Reviewed 2012-11-24.

Draught. Black, thin head. Malt, fruit and some smoke? A hint of herbs? Medium body. Dry and bitter finish. Nice Christmas beer.

Dark brown with off-white head. Nice beer with plenty of caramel, chocolate, wood, soil and some grassy notes. Quite bitter ending.

Bottle@home Apperance: Bronze-reddish with a creamy, beige, head. Aroma: Roasted malts, Bitterhops, Pine, Hint of chocolate. Flavor: Roasted malts, Dark bread, Citric notes, Hops, Chocolate. Palate: Lowish carbonation. Liquid feels smooth and easy to drink. Nice bitter aftertaste. Dunno what’s so christmasy about this one but it’s a solid beer. Very english in style.

Aroma is flowers, christmas spices. Taste is balanced; caramel, malts, coffee, menthol, spicy and cream. Some hops kicks in at the end with the menthol building up into a very fresh finish. Good with greasy christmas food.
