Cask @ Bishops Arms, Malmö. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Fruity and slightly spicy malty aroma with some hints of chocolate. Sweet malty spicy flavor with hints of chocolate and licorice. Has a sweetish malty spicy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Clear reddish brown with a smallish off-white head. Medium body, sweet roasted malts, some dried fruits, berry-like notes and a whiff of smoke. Perhaps a touch of licorice as well. Some perfumy hoppiness comes late leaving some bitterness also. Interesting. 020210

Cask at Green Lion, Malmö. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of straw and hops as well as lighter notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, wood, and alcohol, leading to a dry roasted finish.

500 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on December 26. Pours clear amber with a creamy gray head that clings to the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty with pine, orange zest, allspice and some bread. Taste is rather subtle and malty with bread, orange zest and subtle hints of sassafras. Finish is slightly sweet and slightly bitter.

Apperance: Bronze-reddish with a creamy, beige, head.
Aroma: Roasted malts, Bitterhops, Pine, Hint of chocolate.
Flavor: Roasted malts, Dark bread, Citric notes, Hops, Chocolate.
Palate: Lowish carbonation. Liquid feels smooth and easy to drink. Nice bitter aftertaste.
Dunno what’s so christmasy about this one but it’s a solid beer. Very english in style.

Served on cask at Akkurat (Stockholm). It poured a hazy dark amber liquid with a brown tint and a medium sized dirty white head. Faint smell, but I spotted some fruits. Taste of sweet malts, some spices, fruits, burned toast. Fairly mild overall. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium thick body. Nice and easy to drink. Could have used a bit more flavour though.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours hazy dark brown with a huge tanned creamy head leaving lace. Aroma is roasted, malty, bready, fruity, spicy and licorice. Flavor is fruity, acidy, a bit sweet, roatsed, malty and bitter. Finishes bitter fruity.
