Bottle from Systembolaget web shop. Hazy dark reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dark fruit and light spicy. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. I had this on the evening of the hottest day of the year where temperatures had reached more than 30 degrees. It still worked well :-) 020813

Palate: Lowish carbonation. Liquid feels smooth and easy to drink. Nice bitter aftertaste. Dunno what’s so christmasy about this one but it’s a solid beer. Very english in style.

Served on cask at Akkurat (Stockholm). It poured a hazy dark amber liquid with a brown tint and a medium sized dirty white head. Faint smell, but I spotted some fruits. Taste of sweet malts, some spices, fruits, burned toast. Fairly mild overall. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium thick body. Nice and easy to drink. Could have used a bit more flavour though.
