Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 10, 2008 Draft. A golden beer with a very slight hazy from some floating proteins under a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes hops - tettnanger, a bit bland aroma for a pilsener. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of hops (Tettnanger) as well as lighter notes of metallic alcohol. The finish is dry. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Jan 22, 2008 Updated: Jan 23, 2008Draught at MacKinlay’s Inn, Stockholm. Clear golden, mid-sized head. Fruity and somewhat plastic. Medium sweet with rounded, solid mouthfeel. Short, slightly burnt malt flavour with some soapiness. Medium bitterness. Some butter shows up as it warms. More full bodied, less dry and less crisp than I’d like my pilsners. joergen (6240), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 11, 2008 Draught at Den Tatoverede Enke.
Clear yellow coloured with a small white ehad.
Malty aroma of caramel, hops and grass.
Fruity flavour of malts, hops, grass and caramel.
Hoppy finish. yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 10, 2008 From tap@Den tatoverede Enke. Pours almost clear orange with a dense white head. Light malty and slight grainy aroma. Flavour is medium dry, light dry hoppy and grainy. Mild pilsner flavour/moreover breadish. Ends with a light acidity and mild bitterness. Light peach fruity flavour in the far finish. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Mar 5, 2008 Draught at Rover, Göteborg Golden color, with a wonderful creamy head, very resistant. Nice hoppy aroma, creamy; Hallertau? The body is quite thin, missing the crisp malt, with a shadow of cereals flavor; it has a strong bitterness, but not reaching the quality heights of the very good Pilsners. If possible, the bitterness at the end is even slightly excessive. It’s a bit above the average Pilsner.
