Defreni (475), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 4, 2008 Fad. Solid porter. Mørk med en brændt sødlig duft, men yderst tilgængelig. Fuldt balanceret og en dejlig session som gled ned selv for folk der ikke har øl som favorit og slet ikke sort øl.

(130608) yngwie (3394), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 2, 2008 Bottle at 3 Små Rum, Gothenburg. Pours a clear, almost black body under a small, beige head. Coffeeish and roasted aroma with some fruity hops and a little licorice. A quite pleasant aroma, but maybe a bit on the roasted side. The flavor follows the same path, with coffee and roasted malt and a little licorice. Dry in the mouth, and with a long coffee-bitter and roasted finish. The beer is quite nice, but a bit one-dimentional. I respect the brewers wish to focus on the malts, keeping the hops at a low level, but I like my porters more fruity and hoppy. (080709) Ole_R (1167), Oslo, Norway Aug 1, 2008 Bottle@3 Små Rum, Göteborg. Big bubbely two-finger chocolate head. Opaque dark brown body. Predominant cocoa aroma along with a scent of mild coffee and dryish dark malts. Much of the same flavorwise, with notes of roast and licorice, and a very mild hop bitterness. Light to medium body. A bit watered down mouthfeel. Dry, light bitter ending. larsga (2132), Oslo, Norway Jun 30, 2008 Thinnish creamy dark beige head. Opaque black body goes dark brown at edges. Roasty chocolatey aroma with malty notes. Dry-sweet roasty burnt chocolate and coffee taste with alcohol notes. Slightly hollow mouthfeel. Dry, long aftertaste of same with pine needle hops. Excellent! (0.3l draft at the Rover, Göteborg.) Dedollewaitor (1906), Odense, Denmark Jun 14, 2008 Tap at DentatoveredeEnke, Copenhagen. Black with a cremy beige foam. Aroma & taste is roasted malts. Caramel, coffee & quite ashy taste. Little too thin palate & too sweet & buttery! OK
