Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty slightly fruity chocolate aroma with hints of dark fruit. Fruity roasted malty slightly bitter chocolate flavor with hints of licorice and dark fruit. Has a roasted malty chocolate and dark fruit finish.

Bottled at Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Pours out in an almost black colour with a small pale brown foam. Licorice, prunes, dark chocolate, fudge and salt in the aroma. Medium-bodied with notes of black coffee, cocoa, salty licorice, fudge and caramel. Prunes and black coffe in the long finish.

Bottle #4/55 at Man in the Moon. Black coloured with a very small beige head. Roasted aroma of dark fruits, liquorice and oak with notes of sherry. Roasted flavour of liquorice with notes of coffee, dried fruits and oak. Roasted finish. A bit watery.

(Bottle, Man in the Moon, Stockholm) Black colour with brief, brown head. Malty, roasted, slightly vinous nose with dark chocolate, liquorice and slightly oaky hints of vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark chocolate, sweet espresso, liquorice and sweet hints of vanilla and oak wood. Balanced finish with sweetness and some citrussy bitterness. Medium body, fairly sweet, slightly vinous. A bit different, but nice and tasty.

Bottled at Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Very dark brown, minimal head. Chocolatey nose with a mere touch of vanilla. Sweet and well rounded with medium to full body. The Jack Daniels is very mild, yet perceptible - instead it’s dominated by harminous chocolatey malt. Finishes with low bitterness. A highly relaxed oaked porter.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2009 On-tap. The Rover. Gothenburg. Dark brown colour. Aroma. Roastiness, licorice, vanilla and a bit of smoke. Taste: roasted malt, licorice, coffee, caramel, vanilla, wood, light citrus. Dry and roasted finish. The body is rather light. 090404. Cask. Bishops Arms Avenyn. Gothenburg. Pretty much the same, but less carbonation and body. Not bad, not great.
