Well, sometimes shit doesn’t work out, do they? And then you are left wondering, is it me or was it a bad bottle? Aroma is very sweet from oranges and mandarins. Slight pine. Taste is oranges, with a hefty dose of black currant and strawberries coming in hard in the aftertaste. The bitterness is non-existent? Will try again if I stumble upon it.

Pours a half finger of head on a clear dark straw body. The aroma is apricot and plum with some spices. The taste is fruit sweet with a pine bitterness to balance it. The texture is thicker. The alcohol hides well. Really drinkable.

650ml bottle. Clear amber colour with small to average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lasting, off-white head. It’s hard to open up the aroma: if you want to get more than a whiff of apple juice, you have to sniff like a coke addict withdrawn from cold turkey: cautious citrusy notes and some candied orange zest may provide preliminary relaxation. Taste is clean bitter hoppy, subtly sweet, monolithic, bitter, woody apple juice; soft palate, gentle carbonation. Too clean and filtrated, almost aseptic, as much punk as Bad Religion in their major label era.

The beer has a caramel color with a medium head. Aroma of malts and bitterness. Taste has some mild fruits up front and then a mild bitterness on the finish.

ChrisO Tasting. Hazy gold - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin dry creamy malts. Dry piney hops, a tangy pine. Mild floral sweetness. A skunky and bitterish tropical fruit vibe underneath. Smooth semi dry finish. Slightly skewed but I enjoyed it anyway.

650ml bottle from Beer Bazaar, shared with the big boys. Big pineapple, citrus, with a sweet toffee malt base. With alcohol. Rough and raw. The bitterness overwhelmed the sweetness balance. There are much better So Cal DIPAs, just move on. 13.6

Bottle bomber from total wine....story behind this and I need to apologize to Sudsmcduff. Having morning brews and bloody Mary’s along with being Croation made me a C&$t was pointed that out. The bootlegger knuckle sandwich kicked in and I threw out uncalled for shit to Suds...sorry buddy. Anyway we will be watching the movie so I can ge the joke. The beer was great, pine hoppy nose with some toasted malts. Really subdued on the bitterness but hoppy if those to terms are no opposed. Alcohol listed was 9+ and very hidden. Perhaps that is why I enjoyed it. Finish was real clean and the color was amazing with nice thin white head.

Bottle at Chriso’s Xmas Tasting 2015. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The taste is quite sweet, tinned peach, candied citrus peel, dried apricots, bread and icing sugar. The taste is bitter - sweet, sticky, quite clean, orange, sweet tangerine, light alcohol, decent malty backbone and some tart grapefruit with a dry, warming finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit sweet and alcohol, but overall ok.

Bottle share at Chriso’s. Thanks! 9.4%, undated. Clear orange, lightly sparkling, small foamy white head. Aroma is tangerine, bubblegum, touch of booze. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is biscuit, light melon, floral notes, some alcohol showing up. Quite nice. Would expect a bit more from a DIPA brewed in America though.
