Copper. Hoppy brew. Sweet malts. Finish is boozy. Decent imply but not too exciting. Malt driven.

Iím sorry....I do NOT get the high rating on this beer. Itís awful. I tried this ale about a year ago and hated it. But a couple days ago a friend texted me the RB rating on this brew: 99/100. So I thought to myself that my first attempt must have been a bad bottle. So tonight I shelled out $10.99 for another bottle....awful nose...cheap flavor. It was just so not good. Sorry.

Draft at the Rhythm and Brews beer fest. Pours clear orange with a creamy off white head and nice lacing. Smells like orange, pine, and resin hops, pear, light honey, and malt. Tastes like strong hops with moderate bitterness, sweet malt, light fruit, and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

This has some fruit and this but also some funkiness that doesnít really work very well for me even the score of 3.1 might be a little high

22 oz. bottle with 081615 date, pours a hazy orange color with big, uneven off-white head that lasts and leaves clumps of lacing. Aroma is not overwhelming but has honey, floral hops, and biscuit. Taste is caramelly sweet with lots of alcohol burn and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Body is medium to full with lively carbonation. Not that easy to drink. Iíll pass this one by the next time I see it. DIPA may be my favorite style, but as someone else said, this one is in a league with the cheap Minhas bombers found at Trader Joes and other grocery stores.

Bottle, shared with Parksy. Hazy orange amber, off white head. Sweet caramel malt, fruity hops (stonefruits) with strong notes of plastic that became unbearable. Not feeling the love for this. At all.

Type: 22-oz. bottle Glass: Figueroa pint glass From: Costco in Mission Valley (San Diego), Calif. Price: $4.59 Purchased: March 29, 2015 Consumed: April 4, 2015 Misc.: Got two different possibilities with the born on/best by: 1) appears to be born on Oct. 29, 2014 (Julian calendar), and 2) other could be a best by Sept. 20, 2015. Neither one makes any sense and Iíll probably ignore everything about this. Poured an orangish, honey, semi-hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of khaki white, rocky head. Could see either flakes or pulp in the bottle before the pour and less pronounced after the pour in the bottle. Light bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Good amount of uneven, layered, foamy lacing. Below average retention. (Sight - 3.75) Smelled earthy, rye hops up front. Also caramel, buttery sourdough bread, spoiled sour fruit, honey and grassy notes. (Smell - 3.13) Tasted that 9.4 pct. ABV right away, which immediately had me shaking my head. Got buttered bread, earthy rye, honey, honey wheat, grass, unsweetened iced tea, boozy wheatwine, regular Goldfish crackers, spoiled veggies, caramel and light old grapefruit rind. Some peach and apricot late. (Taste - 2.88) Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, buttery, bitter finish. (Feel - 2.75) That there could be a beer this bad at Costco was the thing I learned most from having this. This should be at Trader Joeís and made by Minhas. (Overall - 2.88) 2.96 69 C

Tap at the brewery. Pours clear orange with a medium, creamy off-white head, medium medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is orange, pine, and resin hops, pear esters, and light honey malt. Flavor is heavy hops and moderate bitterness, sweet malt, light fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Dude abides, Bomber at Costco. Huge hoppy nose of citrus and tropical fruits along with a slight brandy alcohol presence. Some slight malty flavor leaning towards biscuit. No solvency but high ABV is there. Extremely high drink ability.
