5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Had at at Tap That in Oceanside. Was told from Travis there that this won gold medal at San Diego int. Brew Fest. I know why! This brew is fantastic. Crisp spruce, cedar, grass aroma! Crystal clear! Big white frothy head. Up front huge big peppery hops, Note, this was an extremely pleasurably first sip as it did have the usual over the top tar burn hop oil, that becomes too distracting. This grew was pure freshness. Believe it or not I could have had a dozen if it weren’t fir the 9.4%. A must have!

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a dark bunt orange with a one finger off white head with pretty nice lacing. Aroma is of a lot of pine, citrus, tropical fruits, dank hops, sweet malts, light bready malts, grassy hops, and herbal hops. Taste is citrus (grapefruit and orange) resinous pine, tropical fruits, herbal and grassy hops, light bready malts, light harsh bitterness, and some light booze. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi oily, bitter, long lingering finish. Overall, a pretty nice DIPA that has a lot of hop character but might be just a tad too bitter.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
22oz bottle. Pours amber with a white head. I did not like this at all. It was hard to finish. Unbalanced. Dirty, soapy, resinous. Not good.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at source...crazy hop aroma. Extremely hoppy oil aroma. Almost like pine tar and grassy. One of best aromas for a XXIPA. Flavor is also extremely hoppy...not crazy bitter like many XXIPAS...whch I reallly enjoyed...hop flavor not tounge twisting bitterness. Excellent.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bought this 22 oz bomber in the 92008...had to due to such a great experience from their braggot. I am usuall y not a huge fan of XXIPA..I am more towards the malties like Double Bastard. I enjoyed this due to big pine aroma...like walking through a pine forest. The flavor did have a nice malt to it, but mostly hops....not crazy mouth puckering bitternes...definatly bitter but more hoppy. I thought great use of the abundance of hops listed here.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at the brewery. Yellow/orange pour with a white head. Pineapple hop bouquet. Pineapple hop notes dominate. Some minerally hop notes on the backend. Good balance with a nice malty backbone. Good mouthfeel and body.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle. Pours an orangish color with a medium white head. Decent lacing. Aroma of pine and herbal notes. Mild malt. Flavor is hop forward, but it’s pretty spaced out. Lots of hop bitterness with mild malt sweetness. Medium bodied. This would have been a great DIPA 5 years ago. Finishes long and and bitter.
