Had at at Tap That in Oceanside. Was told from Travis there that this won gold medal at San Diego int. Brew Fest. I know why! This brew is fantastic. Crisp spruce, cedar, grass aroma! Crystal clear! Big white frothy head. Up front huge big peppery hops, Note, this was an extremely pleasurably first sip as it did have the usual over the top tar burn hop oil, that becomes too distracting. This grew was pure freshness. Believe it or not I could have had a dozen if it weren’t fir the 9.4%. A must have!

Saves best and pint for last here at source. Read about it in union trib! Huge huge peper ray hop aroma, not earthy but white pepper and pine tar. Flavor is super crisp and hoppy! For big hop beer absolutely no astringency. Just pure hop flavor and hop goodness...one of my favs!

Bottle. Copper color with a huge white head; man this thing is carbonated. Nose is awesome pine, cat pee. Flavor is fruity and hoppy bitter - grapefruit, citrus/limes, not much malt. Tons of carbonation. Long bitter finish. Very lively flavor and carbonation but not my style for an IIPA.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Big tropical fruit aroma with grapefruit. Pine and grapefruit flavor with tropical fruit. Medium bodied. Very good bitterness. Pine and tropical fruit linger with grapefruit.

Pour from 22 oz bottle. Aroma is ridiculous with mango, pine needles, fresh cut grass, guava, and maybe even butterscotch pudding. Flavors are similar plus honey and nougat mixed with a citrusy melange and a hoppy dryness. Finish is long, citrusy, dry and lip smackingly delicious. Super tasty and smooth for 9.4%. Superb beer

Had to rate real quick, just had for lunch, awesome XXIPA typical grass and pine and an interesting blend of peper notes on nose. Flavor is perfect of slight bitterness and super hoppy greenery. No harsh alcohol despite 9+%. One of best XXIPA. Have had.

Aroma is orange citrus. Medium amber color with a pretty big white head. Taste is intense citrus and citrus rind, and it has a Lagunitas-like funk that I enjoy. Sweetness balances the intense bitterness pretty well. If you like intense citrus-rind hops, you’ll love this one. Plus, the label is very, very cool; the label is what made me buy this one blind. I’m glad I did.

Picked up cuz of label! Very big pine and Pepperie aroma. Very very bitter, very bitter hops in a good way. Slight alcohol heat, good lacing head. Great flavor.

Poured from the bomber, a nice brown side of orange ale, smells great. Starts sweet, then slowly turns to a bitter, but not dry mouth bitter. Great drinking experience, not surprised it won a medal. High alcohol gets the extra point, and another for being a nice change of taste IPA.

2014 Xmas eve trailer park tasting extravaganza. Bright amber color with ivory head. Nice pine, citrusy, spicy hop aromas with dry cracker malts. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Spicy, citrus rind, pine hoppy flavors with a dry cracker malt base brew____nicely bitter spicy hop finish----very tasty dude IPA.

Bottled, purchased locally in Solana Beach. I like Purcell's persona of The Dude on the label. Color is dark gold with medium haze. Heavy duty lacing and big bubbly head. Aroma of pine sap, orange and rum cake. Big sweet malt aroma with some cherry too. Flavor is big, hot and bold. Leans sweet and malty on the DIPA spectrum. Notes of orange rind, grapefruit and malt syrup with good bitterness. Overall it's quite aggressive and on the sweet side for my taste, but rather enjoyable and a good kick in the balls at over 9%ABV. Good one Purcell, see us around Oside; -Gamblerod ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
