A: The pour is a cloudy orange-amber color with a nice white head and some mild lacing. S: Hmm this is probably the lightest nose on a DIPA that I’ve ever experienced. Subtle pine and citrus, otherwise it’s faint bread notes. T: The flavor is similarly bland. I pick up some light citrus (grapefruit, for the most part) and a moderate bitterness. Some bread and caramel malt sweetness, too. M: The body is medium with a moderate level of carbonation. D: Not one of Oceanside’s better beers. I was expecting to enjoy this one, but found myself not doing so.

Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a clear gold body supporting a light tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up some spicy hops and a little bit of grapefruit and tangelo like citrus hop notes. Ok, the aroma seemed a bit on the mild side but the taste however IS NOT! Wow, this is rich and bold and delivers deliscous citrus grapefruity hops that offer up tons of hop flavor as well as thick resiny hop bitterness. To midway a touch of spicy faintly dank hops are noticed and helps this end with a lingering tangelo yumminess that takes this into the after taste. Terrific tasting IIPA

On tap at Pizza Port San Clemente’s Hoptoberfest. Listed as a 6.0% pale ale. Tasted like one too. Pours with a hazy golden body with a large, fluffy white head. Aroma is hazy, herbal, dank, vanilla, estery and grainy. Flavors are vanilla, grain, herbal, malty, light fruit and citrus. Dry and fizzy. Mediocre.

I had this beer at the Pizza Port Hoptoberfest in San Clemente, CA 2010. at the fest this was listed as a 6% pale ale... it was a bit unbalanced.

Draft. Clear orange/amber, off-white head. Citrus, caramel malt, bread, and sweet. Not that interesting, I wouldn’t drink this again.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2010 Pours cloudy orange with a small white head, specks of lace. Smells subdued sweet citrus notes and some earth and malts. Tastes malty and cereal sweet with a mellow earthy hop, citrus flavor. Ok. I had high hopes after their last ipa. Medium/full body, good carbonation.
