4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 OZ bottle. Pour was crystal clear pale straw color 1/2 inch or so head. Great effervescence. Floral hop notes could use more citrus. Initial taste was extremely bitter and oily hops. Hung on palate for ever. I enjoyed this yet could not drink a less hoppy beer after this ad it would taste like yellow fizzy. Packet a punch at 8.3. Expensive though. But great beer.

Had on tap at OAW as locals call it. Was told this was a extreme pale ale. Yes it was pale in color and yes hops where somewhat extreme for a pale ale. Big spicy pepper aroma from hops. Slight alcohol warmth after malt presence. Great brew

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Just picked up this $9 bomber at Tomís Farm in Corona. It pours with a clear copper body that supports a nice looking tan head of foam. The aroma offers up plenty of cherry and plum fruity esters (ok, what style is this?) as well as sweet candy like citrus notes. The taste is very much the same, sadly, where sweet dark fruity esters and malt sweetened muted citrus hop flavor rule the experience and run it right into the $9 per bomber ground (wtf!). Around the edges of the flavor I get a modest degree of resiny hops that donít come close to pulling this aged mess together. Iím not too happy about paying full price for such an old tasting bottle.

A double IPA for a fortnight and a day #8...What else can you say other than itís extremely Extreme. Not really a XXIPA so didint give it near perfect rating but never the less this is an exceptional beer. Definitely one of the top balanced rich pales around. Itís not over annoying with the hops. I love hoppy beers but some take it too far. I like to taste other notes besides hoppy. Itís a very good balance of flavors from hops to biscuit to great grassy aromas.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
650 ml bottle from Piccadilly. Pours a hazy amber copper color with a small off-white head that slowly recedes to a coarse film. The aroma was somewhat salty with sweat, thyme, floral and a hint of citrus. The taste was bitter fruits with pink grapefruit, melons, stone fruits, dough and bitter walnuts. The palate was full and a touch pasty with lively carbonation. The finish was medium in duration and dry. Overall: The description on the bottle describes not as a DIPA, but as a "Extreme" pale ale, and I find that fits here. This is an APA on steroids, and a good one.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured from a 22iz bottle at 2013 GABF. Wonderful citrus hop biscuit aroma. Wish I had a real glass not the one ounce pour. Mouthfeel is really rich malty treat, with a bitter hop crisp finish. So many different dimensions to thus brew. I did taste some noticeable heat, yet I thought it was a plus, with the other characteristics of this brew.

Bomber poured a clear amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of caramel, earthiness, woody hops and light fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, tobacco and earthiness with a smooth dry lingering tobacco finish.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Light orange color, pure white head. Melon and herbal hop aroma. Initially bitter, very hoppy and malty. Slight heat from alcohol, that was quite enjoyable and helped the hop flavor out. Very crisp dry finish. Excellent!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, from DocJitsu in the OTM BIF, thanks Dennis! Lovely deep reddish-orange pour. Very frgrant hoppy nose, interesting combo of florals and green notes with some sweet melon too. Very pungent hoppy palate, green notes of crushed nettles and pine, background notes of marijuana and ripe tropical fruits. Very fresh and complex. The finish is long and intensely bitter with a slight medicinal quality. An interesting hop profile that deviates from the standard "grapefruit and pine" profile found in many Cali and PNW IPAís, in a positive way. Delicious.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle. Pours a caramel copper color with a white head. This pale ale is a malty mess. Way too malty and unbalanced. I did not really enjoy this one.
