Had at brewery after a long hiatus on rate beer. This brew is an absolute train wreck. Smells fine great oatmeal palate, but it taste like I chewed on some old asprin. great head and no risisuald TDS in it, but man I could not stomach this wierd caracteritistic of salty, calcuim funk.

"I wanted to like this beer more, trying it right after talking to the beer’s namesake and head OC brewer Scotty, but it wasa little too mellow for it’s own good. Typical cofee/chocolate aroma and flavor, a little weak, but smooth from the oats

Draft at the brewery. Dark brown, with a small creamy light tan head. Roasted dark malt, oatmeal, light notes of chocolate and fruit, and metallic hops. Somewhat watery, but smooth mouthfeel. Meh.
