(Plastic bottle 200 cl) Pours a clear, golden with a white head. Lightly sweet aroma of malt and brewing cereal. Medium body with sweetish malt accents, some brewing cereal and cardboard as well as a slightly oxidized edge. A wee whiff of hops in the finish. 131107
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 JorisPPattyn (7308) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - SEP 8, 2003
Yellow-gold. Thick white-yellow head. I suspect it to contain ferroxides as stabilisator. It dissipates all the same.
Sweet smell, maize, even like tinned maize or corn syrup; brown candi sugar or very cheap honey. With retrospect to the smell, surprisingly metallic-bitterbite - nothing refined. Basis
is malt-maize sweet. Light to medium bodied, not watery. Metallic taste keeps hanging around to the point of obstructing the palate (of the taster). Cheap, adjunct-ridden lager. Yet is has more taste than a lot of world-lagers. My bottle said 4.7% ABV.

2l bottle from a Russian supermarket. Clear pale yellow, large and creamy white head. Malty, grainy, hoppy in the finish. Low carbonation.

Pours pale golden with a white head. Grainy malt and some fruity notes in the nose. Flavor is lightly bready, wet grain, with an odd plastic finish.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ernest (5627) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 24, 2004
Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty
(grain/bread), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is
lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Slightly more
bitter and fuller-body version of the Original. Decent.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 ogivlado (4990) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 23, 2009
big brown plastic bottle(2500ml). -Slightly better than Yachmenniy Kolos Svetloe that I’ve tried few minutes before, but in general same crap. Pale yellow coloured, medium sized creamy (chemical) white head, stale dusty nose with hint of corn. Lively carbonation. Weak malty, stale bready and brewing cereals with light bitter finish.

Sweet hensfood aroma.
A typicla Russian international standard lager.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 rickgordon (3815) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 4, 2003
Hazy golden. Some spice in the aroma. No bitterness. Rating from one month old notes I am hard to tell why I liked this one...
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Marko (3613) - Split, CROATIA - AUG 21, 2010
1l bottle bought at a Russian store in Zagreb, shared by a friend (thanks Morko!) Poured a yellow-golden body with a small head that went away fast. Weak dry papery malty nose. Weak cardboardy malty taste, notes of apple, very weak yoghurt. Watery and crap but as it’s seemingly without adjuncts, better than the Original. Might be overrating both a little.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Aubrey (3347) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - AUG 7, 2004
Medium yellow with a quickly fading head. Malts were only mildly sweet and reminiscent of multi-grain bread. Hops actually provided a little bitterness, and had notes of herbs and mild flowers. More flavor and more bitterness than the other two I had from Ochakovo. Still, it had an underlying similarity that was undeniable ... and it was kind of boring.
