Tasted at the Mariners Museum Craft Beer Festival. Nice malty aroma, no hop aroma with hints of chocolate. Good head and a clear garnet color. Taste was great. Good bitterness with a slightly sweet chocolate finish. Medium body with a pleasing finish. I went back for seconds.

On draft at O’Connor’s. Pours a nice deep stout brown color with an off-white head. Nose is earth, dark chocolate, and a hint of black coffee. Flavor is similar with earth, baker’s chocolate, black coffee, and some bitterness. Light to medium in body and nice overall.

Clear medium to dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, strong coffee, dusty coffee - malt. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, caramel, coffee, roasted, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140516]

12/28/2013. On tap at the brewery. Dark brown with a frothy tan head. Malty aromas with coffee and chocolate. Malty flavors, but with an acidic taste. Somewhat thin. Chocolate and coffee throughout, but lacks body.

Draft at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook. Poured a dark brown color with a nice dark tan head. Aroma was notes of chocolate with roasted malts. Flavor was roasted malts, creamy texture with some touch of coffee, chocolate. Enjoyable.
