Clear and golden with a small white head. Slightly sour aroma along with hops and malt. Light, crisp and refreshing. Taste of malt and slight bitterness. Good beer.

From a tap. Small head, nice golden hue, more carbonated than I expected. Less bitter than an IPA, thirsty quenching but unremarkable.

Golden color with white head poured from a tap. Light with a little taste of hops. Typical golden ale. Good if you like lighter beers

FROTHINGSLOSH (4763) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 20, 2013
Sampled form a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a large foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was tangy, sweet and almost grassy. The flavor was tangy, bready and had notes of grass and perfume. Medium length tangy grass and perfume finish. Medium body. Uninspired.

Bottle. Golden with small head. Light bodied with a hint of hops. Seems like a pilsner to me.

Poured as a 2 oz sampler at Virginia Beer Live 2013. Almost has a sweet/corn taste on finish and tastes a little dilute.

Nice name. "Red, right, return!" The beer itself is quite the everyday brewpub staple that so many places feel compelled to make. Not a bad example, just not exciting. Medium gold, clear, decent head. Aroma is biscuity and lightly of floral hops. Flavor is a match. Nothing wrong, just not a lot there. Very drinkable, but very forgettable.

12 oz bottle Whole Foods The ale poured an almost clear straw color with a frothy head and lacing down the glass. The Golden Ale class of beers has a problem of lacking a noticeable character. This one confirms that opinion. It is drinkable but not memorable. Increase the IBUs to 30 and then you have a Golden Ale. I want to support Virginia brewers but this not a beer that I would seek out. The carbonation was average with a light body.

Bottle. Lactic barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Slightly sweet barley malt and lightly bitter hay hops flavor. Not bad - a standard golden ale.
