2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
A fairly fizzy, sourish cherry porter that was interesting but not pleasant.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a rich dark brown with a thin airy off-white head. Aroma is sour and almost vomitous with a touch of roasted malt. Body is thin, tart, and overly carbonated, with a flat, flavorless palate underneath. Any cherry flavor appears to be maked by the acidity, which also acts to ruin the porter part. Would be much better if sweet cherry juice were used instead of sour juice. A novel idea, but poorly done.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
A deep purple color, looks black in normal light. Rocky tan head. Bready, chocolate roast aroma with a generous dose of sweet cherries at the end. The flavor focuses on chocolate and the cherries along with a dry, roasty bitter finish. I'd like the beer to feature a bigger mouthfeel and less of a dry finish, I think those work better with the sweetness afforded by the cherries. All in all, a pretty decent brew. Thanks go the uber-rater right below this rating (JPDIPSO) for getting me this beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Near black color with a few hint of brown through the edges. Dark bone rocky head with a small ring of lace. Burnt malt and meat nose. Touch of cranberries as well in the aroma. Dark chocolate covered cherries best describes this one. Dry roasty finish. If you like chocolate covered cherries you should try this. Personally not a big fan, but an interesting effort.
