12oz bottle purchased somewhere in Michigan. Looks like a somewhat low fill. Clear golden orange color. Thin white head. No lace really sticks. Impressive big coffee flavor dominates the flavor. Maybe a bit of bready, biscuity malt in the back. Hint of chocolate. Light to medium body. Light to moderate carbonation, kind of softer crisp texture. Lightly sticky in the finish. Good long coffee aftertaste in the finish. Light citrusy hop. Moderate bitter taste, light to moderate sweet. Not your typical golden ale, but a very tasty and unusual coffee beer.. Much better than expected.

I always like trying new breweries especially from the Midwest. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. This was a definite winner even if it was not the biggest beer. If I run across more in Michigan I think I might pick them up if there is room for them.

Aroma / Appearance - A golden glowing base is transparent but also dark. Coffee, grain, and golden crisps brighten the air. A blend of espresso adds more depth. Creamy edges round out a fine profile.

Flavor / Profile - Creamy coffee starts the flavor parade with a bang. It tastes a bit like a cream ale with a blast of vanilla by the end. The coffee aspect isnít that strong in the end. This was a little unusual but well worth the stop.

12 oz bottle. Pours a deep golden with a small white head. Aroma is very strong mocha coffee character, vanilla, cream, coffee like a latte with vanilla. Flavor has much the same, straightforward vanilla and cocoa and coffee. Finishing sweet and nestle cocoa powder. Fizzy carbonation, too much for the style, soda-like prickle that should be softer to let all those sweet notes roll. Medium body. The more I drink the more I kind of feel like its an artificial coffee character but it has some nice notes to it

Very nice aroma. Pours a clear caramel color, lighter than what I would have expected. Light tasting, very drinkable. I personally do not feel like it has a strong coffee taste, it certainly has the flavor, but I think itís done just right.

This beer was pretty good. Not something I would try again. About what I expected. Too heavy on the coffee.

An extra from umich43jm. Thanks! Pours a cloudy white gold with a thin, stark white head that lingers. Aroma is roasted coffee, cereal, dark chocolate. Smells far more substantial than it looks. Flavor is coffee, light malt, sime nuttiness and a touch of hops. It tastes like someone made cold brewed iced coffee with Kirin Ichiban. This is pretty neat!

12 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but was released recently. Pours lightly hazy and cloudy golden amber color with a 2 finger foamy and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings down the glass, with a lot of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big nutty coffee, vanilla, cream, light bread, floral, and light grass. Awesome aromas with big presence of coffee and malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big nutty coffee, cream, vanilla, bread, floral, and light grass. Light coffee bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of nutty coffee, vanilla, cream, light bread, grass, and floral earthiness on the finish for a bit. Awesome robustness of coffee/cream flavor with a fair amount of malt balance; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. High carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is great. Hardly any alcohol presence after the finish as expected for 4.5%. Overall this is an outstanding coffee blonde ale. Great robustness of authentic coffee/cream flavor; and extremely smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

Tasted sample from a bottle. Wow, they arenít kidding when they say "with coffee." It just tastes like coffee poured in a beer.

Malty aroma and almost a raw greens taste. Fresh and satisfying beer....... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
