Draft. All in all a pretty nice stout here, cocoa, coffee, lower body but making it more palatable on a hot summer day.

Taster on tap at GTMW. Dark brown, red color. Near-black. Thin light brown head, leaves good thicker lace. Oh my... Awesome dark chocolate, coffee aroma. Moderate roast. Great complex coffee flavor on this, perfect addition of cocoa nib / darker chocolate flavor, works very well. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Good chewy texture. Light slick. Moderate bitter, moderate sweet taste. Great chocolate coffee stout.

Sampled on tap at brewery. Great espresso nose. Light chocolate sweetness, awesome aroma. Dark black opaque with thin light tan head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts sweet with terrific mocha flavors. One of the best coffee beer aromas and tastes I’ve ever had. Chocolate milk and coffee. Sweet finish with great coffee after and mild nutty bitterness.

Had on tap at their taproom in Grand Haven. Lots of coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Flavor follows. Creamy and smooth. Very roasty on the coffee. Nice beer.

12 oz. bottle thanks to fishmich. Again, no bottle dating or code or ABV. Dark brown opaque color with thin tan head. Aroma is nice blend of chocolate, roasted coffee and brownie batter.

Flavor is Ovaltine, iced coffee with cream and bitter dark chocolate toward the backend of the sip. The body is on the full side with a light creamy texture. Intense cocoa lingers in the after taste.

Flight pour on tap at the brewpub (Grand Haven, MI). Pours a deep blackish hue, opaque with some darkness, frothy light brown head atop sits with decent lacing and stick around. Faint ruby but still essentially opaque. Aromas are rich and potent, firm coffee and espresso meet mellow cocoa nib, touches of earth, faint ash and caramel. Some biscuit, earth. Initial is medium bodied, a touch of girth with Hershey’s chocolate syrup, coffee and earth. Some caramel, touches of sweetness meet toffee, oatmeal and biscuit. A bit toasty, carmelized as we hit backend. A deeper middle with some nice gentle body quickly emerges with firmer chocolate, a touch of Vienetta dessert, some creaminess as we round the corner. Finish is dry, roasty, peanut shells and coffee grounds. A bit of espresso, cocoa and roast as we finish. Depth of flavors are potent, a bit firmer in body but not overdone, too thick or sweet. This beer works what it was given. The chocolate seems a little fake up front but I really work into it and the beer itself, it’s flow and depth really catch on. Nice stuff.

12 oz bottle. The pour is an extremely dark brown, pretty much black with a thin dark khaki head and no lacing hanging around. The aroma is pretty good. There is a dominating chocolate sweetness on the front end with a nice vanilla-ish transition through a wonderful roasty coffee on the back end. The body of the aroma almost carries a chocolate milk character to it. The flavor is a little more held back. There is a decent chocolateyness on the front but it comes back kind of woody, with not much of the vanilla and a more hidden, almost not there, coffee. The mouth feel is definitely a little thinner for how thing pours. The carbonation is light, but helps overall. The aftertaste is a little woody and sweet, with a lingering hint of coffee roast. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black pour tan head. Chocolate powder aroma with some coffee. Vanilla and chocolate dominate with some coffee background. Moderate body light carbonation. Well done.

Black pour from 12 oz bottle in saugatuck. Massive vanilla aroma with slight nuts also. Taste is vanilla and choclate. Smooth. Creamy. Delicious. Choclate milk.

Draft at Odd Side - pours a dark brown . Big milk chocolate aromas . Good flavor mostly a lighter cocoa , only thing I didn't care for was the very thin finish . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
