COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This light and crisp ale is sure to capture your taste buds. Not quite a pale ale not quite an IPA. This is our flagship beer which is brewed exclusively with citra hops. The aroma is an intoxicating bouquet of grapefruit, tropical fruit, lemon, and pine.

Lots of orange and caramel in this one. Moderate hops but not too bitter. Hints of biscuit and pine on the end.

Bottle. Pours to a glowing amber body with yellow highlights. There?s a thin white head on it. The aroma is malt and a light citrus, but too hard to smell. The flavor is graham crackers and light grapefruit. Bitter hops like pine linger. The palate is bitter and medium bodied and easy drinking. Sure is a great pale ale.

The Citra pours a bronze yellowish orange with an ivory head that was slightly tough to create, but leaves nice lacing. The aroma is citrus, roasty and caramel. The flavor is a little dominated by the citrus with a slight malt hidden in there but only for a second. The bitterness from the hops lasts well into the aftertaste. Overall this is a decent brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, in trade from Sammy. Slightly hazy golden amber. Aroma has nice citrus hop notes, caramel. The palate balances caramel malts with citrus hop character. More subdued than I expected. Not really feeling the 96th percentile in this...

Bottle (12 oz). Thanks to Sammy for this one! Slightly hazy golden/orange with a small mostly lasting white head and some lacing. Aroma is of grapefruit, light pine and caramel. Taste is slightly sweet with grapefruit, pine, caramel/malt and light bitterness. Light to medium body. Good carbonation that tickle the tongue. Slightly dry finish. A tad too much caramel for an American Pale Ale. Still quite drinkable.

Grapefruit and lemon. Malty. smooth with a bitter finish. Bright nose white head clings well to glass.

Poured a nice deep copper color. The pour was a bit heavy with lots of head, but it quickly settled down. The hops burst in your nose as you pour and it's fantastic. This pale ale has a thick creamy head which I find perfect. This isn't an over the top citra pale ale which I really like! Too many brewers are brewing citra hop bombs which I was afraid this would be. Not at all. Great malt profile and perfect bitter balance. Lots of fruity notes but again, not over powering. I wish I didn't have to drive an hour to get this awesome pale ale! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Ashley’s, Ann Arbor. Poured orange-amber with off-white head that settles into a cap and spots the sides with some lacing. Aroma is tropical (pineapple, mango), citrus (lemon, orange), slight bread. Taste is candied tropical fruit and grainy sweetness followed by citrus peel and floral bitterness. Medium bodied, slick and oily texture, average carbonation, bitter finish.

Bottle. Light amber body. Off-white head. Lots of citrus in the aroma: Lemon, grapefruit. Notes of tropical fruit, toasted grain and a hint of caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet, moderately bitter and lightly to moderately acidic. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Clean with lemon tartness lingering in the finish.

Pours a golden orange color. Nice citra aroma. Light citrusy flavor, but malt forward...maybe some hops have died off. Not a bad citra pale ale but would have liked more.
