This light and crisp ale is sure to capture your taste buds. Not quite a pale ale not quite an IPA. This is our flagship beer which is brewed exclusively with citra hops. The aroma is an intoxicating bouquet of grapefruit, tropical fruit, lemon, and pine.

Sampled from the tap at the 15th annual MBGSF. Pours a clear gold with a slight amber hue with a large white head that lasts throughout hte beer and laces slightly. Aroma has a lot of citra hop with a nice grass note and backing grain. Flavor starts slightly dank up front with earthy pine and musty grass with a grapefruit note coming out in the finish.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2013 12oz bottle, thanks to umich03jm. Mostly clear orange - yellow color. Good thicker slightly off-white head. Good ample lace. Nice retention on the head and lace. Medium body, mostly (slightly medium-plus). Smooth carbonation. Not what Id call dry, but not really much lingering viscosity. Nice citrusy grapefruit flavor. Good moderate bitterness. Signficantly sweet. Lightly zesty, in an orange-peel type of way. Nice Citra pale ale. But texture and balance pales in comparison compared to Zombie Dust. More malty, less smooth and drinkable. Citra is a beautiful hop, though, and it does a lot for this beer 7/4/7/3/13

Re-rate, 8/25/13: 12oz bottle. Forgot I had rated this. Clear orange amber color. Bubbles on the side of the glass. One-finger off-white head. Little lace. Nice citrusy citra hop character, light grass. Medium body. Smooth, lighter carbonation, lightly dry finish. GOod moderate bitter taste, minimal sweet. Some spicy, bready malt, in check and in the background. Solid citra pale ale.

Bottle, in trade from Sammy. Slightly hazy golden amber. Aroma has nice citrus hop notes, caramel. The palate balances caramel malts with citrus hop character. More subdued than I expected. Not really feeling the 96th percentile in this...

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of grass, pine, some orange peel, hints of red fruits, slight bread, biscuit, some caramel notes. Taste is a mix of orange peel, grass, pine, biscuit, bread, grapefruit, finishing fairly bitter, dry. Nice and refreshing for sure!

On tap at The Buck. Pours cloudy amber with a thick off-white head and a strong citrus aroma. There is a solid pale malt base with some nicely balanced hopping. Its all about the Citra.

Draft to taster at Odd Side. Looks good; a transparent light copperish orange with off-white lacing. Smells solid; Citra hops with a pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. A good example of the style.
