COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This light and crisp ale is sure to capture your taste buds. Not quite a pale ale not quite an IPA. This is our flagship beer which is brewed exclusively with citra hops. The aroma is an intoxicating bouquet of grapefruit, tropical fruit, lemon, and pine.

Bottle:   Darker straw, a bit dirty, orange hued, small frothy white head, spotty lacing.   Is Citra the one that smells like cat urine, cuz thatís what I got on the tongue.   Does have some grapefruit and pine too.   Soft sweet hop bitterness up front, thankfully no real cat urine.   Does have a stronger pine aspect than the nost suggests.   Smooth, body and moutfheel are moderate to full.   Lingering pine after the finish, with a touch of young grapefruit.   Despite the nose, its pretty tasty.   Thanks Kevin!

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2013 12oz bottle, thanks to umich03jm. Mostly clear orange - yellow color. Good thicker slightly off-white head. Good ample lace. Nice retention on the head and lace. Medium body, mostly (slightly medium-plus). Smooth carbonation. Not what Iíd call dry, but not really much lingering viscosity. Nice citrusy grapefruit flavor. Good moderate bitterness. Signficantly sweet. Lightly zesty, in an orange-peel type of way. Nice Citra pale ale. But texture and balance pales in comparison compared to Zombie Dust. More malty, less smooth and drinkable. Citra is a beautiful hop, though, and it does a lot for this beer 7/4/7/3/13

Re-rate, 8/25/13: 12oz bottle. Forgot I had rated this. Clear orange amber color. Bubbles on the side of the glass. One-finger off-white head. Little lace. Nice citrusy citra hop character, light grass. Medium body. Smooth, lighter carbonation, lightly dry finish. GOod moderate bitter taste, minimal sweet. Some spicy, bready malt, in check and in the background. Solid citra pale ale.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of mikem409. Pours a clear amber color with a small off white head that collapses to a thin film. The aroma is caramel sweetness, citrus, grapefruit, mild tropicals and a mild off note. The flavor has mild caramel notes, toasted malt, citrus, grapefruit a touch of pine at the finish with that same off note.

Sampled on 10/12/2012 at GABF. This American Pale ale pours a light to medium gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, a touch grapefruity and citrusy. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Decent carbonation. Medium to mild bitterness. Lots of residual sweetness. Nice beer, it really shows off the citra hop. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Draft to taster at Odd Side. Looks good; a transparent light copperish orange with off-white lacing. Smells solid; Citra hops with a pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. A good example of the style.

On tap at Odd Side this past weekend. Served in a pint glass. Pours a nice peach color with a good foamy white head and some nice lacing on the way down. Thin cap through most of the session and a collar after that. Nose brings forward a good dosing of Citra hops with plenty of tropical notes as well as a bit of citrus. Mild bread in the background. Flavor is all about the tropical nature of Citra. Quite nice and refreshing. Light body and good carbonation. Dry. Very solid.

Bronze and copper coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of light citrus hops with a good malt noticeable and some light fruity smells of apricots and lemons. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive herbal and citrus hop flavours at first that show more hops than malt, but the malt is noticeable shortly after with some cardboardie notes. Aftertaste shows a good light and fresh hop flavour with a little sweetness and some hints of bitterness at the end. Overall, a nice crisp and refreshing APA with more hops than malt. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchantís in Dearborn, Michigan on 02-August-2013 for US$1.99 sampled in Grosse Ile, Michigan on 04-August-2013.

On tap: The aroma consists of light citrus, grapefruit, peach, and light tropical fruits. Itís a transparent golden-orange with a small white head and some nice webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with some nice tropical fruits and peach. The finish has light-moderate citrus and grapefruit bitterness. Itís light-medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, this is a damn good session beer and I could really drink a lot of this. I really like Citra hops.
