COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This light and crisp ale is sure to capture your taste buds. Not quite a pale ale not quite an IPA. This is our flagship beer which is brewed exclusively with citra hops. The aroma is an intoxicating bouquet of grapefruit, tropical fruit, lemon, and pine.

Sampled from the tap at the 15th annual MBGSF. Pours a clear gold with a slight amber hue with a large white head that lasts throughout hte beer and laces slightly. Aroma has a lot of citra hop with a nice grass note and backing grain. Flavor starts slightly dank up front with earthy pine and musty grass with a grapefruit note coming out in the finish.

Bottle, in trade from Sammy. Slightly hazy golden amber. Aroma has nice citrus hop notes, caramel. The palate balances caramel malts with citrus hop character. More subdued than I expected. Not really feeling the 96th percentile in this...

On tap at The Buck. Pours cloudy amber with a thick off-white head and a strong citrus aroma. There is a solid pale malt base with some nicely balanced hopping. It’s all about the Citra.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of mikem409. Pours a clear amber color with a small off white head that collapses to a thin film. The aroma is caramel sweetness, citrus, grapefruit, mild tropicals and a mild off note. The flavor has mild caramel notes, toasted malt, citrus, grapefruit a touch of pine at the finish with that same off note.

Draft to taster at Odd Side. Looks good; a transparent light copperish orange with off-white lacing. Smells solid; Citra hops with a pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. A good example of the style.

Bottle:   Darker straw, a bit dirty, orange hued, small frothy white head, spotty lacing.   Is Citra the one that smells like cat urine, cuz that’s what I got on the tongue.   Does have some grapefruit and pine too.   Soft sweet hop bitterness up front, thankfully no real cat urine.   Does have a stronger pine aspect than the nost suggests.   Smooth, body and moutfheel are moderate to full.   Lingering pine after the finish, with a touch of young grapefruit.   Despite the nose, its pretty tasty.   Thanks Kevin!

Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours a clear orange gold with small frothy off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong citrus, tropical, and resin. Medium mouthfeel with nice juicy fruit hop, light resin and bitterness. Very good.

Sampled at GABF. Pours a clear orange with one ring of white head. Malty nose, oranges, flowers, honey. Sweet honey flavor, pine, orange, zesty lime. Medium bodied, zesty finish. Very sessionable.

pours unclear medium dark golden with a small off-white head, shy retention and lacing. catty grapefruit, mangoes, danky grass, booze, coffee grinds with earthy angles, caramel, diacetyls, pepper,. moderately low carbonation, light to medium body - oily, assertive if not harsh piney-peppery-citrusy finish. awkward.

Pailhead (5746) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - APR 13, 2012
On tap: The aroma consists of light citrus, grapefruit, peach, and light tropical fruits. It’s a transparent golden-orange with a small white head and some nice webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with some nice tropical fruits and peach. The finish has light-moderate citrus and grapefruit bitterness. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, this is a damn good session beer and I could really drink a lot of this. I really like Citra hops.
