3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Odd Side brewpub. Bartender said the single hop was a citra hop. Hazy apricot with a moderate off-white head that left some lacing. Aroma of heavy grapefruit and citrus but balanced enough out by the sweet malt. Taste is a citrus burst with heavy grapefruit almost like grapefruit juice with the pulp in there. Enough malt to balance it out with some tartness and bitterness on the finish. Pretty tasty!

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Light golden color. Reasonably good carbonation. Orange/lemon aroma, and slightly more malty body, but it is balanced without a huge sense of malt backbone. Refreshing front and a very moderate, enjoyably bitter finish. Spectacular brewing--such a nice, sessionable beer. (sold as Citra Pale, on tap at brewery)

12 ounce bottle thanks to BlowOffTube. Nice floral aroma. Taste is slight muted malt and nice citrus flavors given off by hops. Nice tropical fruit finish. Very solid and very drinkable.

32oz growler by means of mikem. thanks man... growler opens with a small hiss yielding a medium copper penny brown, somewhat transparent in nature, and topped with a thin to medium fluffy white head that gradually reduces down to a thin ring... aroma is fairly citrus fruit forward, citra based, smarties alongside a fair amount of sweet backing grain - striking a fair balance between malt and hop... flavors generally follow suit with a citra focused herbal essence with a very gentle bitterness through the middle and backend but barely leaving any evidence of such on the finish. somewhat sweet through the middle but the bitterness does provide more of a presence as time elapses. lighter shade of medium bodied with adequate carbonation. this one reminds me of zombie dust with a touch more of a grain impartation. nice.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours to a glowing amber body with yellow highlights. There?s a thin white head on it. The aroma is malt and a light citrus, but too hard to smell. The flavor is graham crackers and light grapefruit. Bitter hops like pine linger. The palate is bitter and medium bodied and easy drinking. Sure is a great pale ale.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear, deeper orange, copper tinted body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is full of fresh Citra hops and lemony grasses. A light resin with some pale malts to balance. Flavor is similar. Lots of resiny, lemon-grass and pines up front with a slight grapefruit and hint of tropical fruit. A light pale malt sweetness offers enough of a balance while allowing the hops to shine. Finishes dry, crisp, and clean with some juicy resins and a moderate grassy and piney bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a light, crisp body and moderate carbonation. Overall, a really nice pale ale. Lots of fresh, juicy lemon-grass and citrus pines with some pleasant resins. Very crisp and easy drinking. Solid beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours brownish-amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of fruity and citrusy hops plus a good amount of caramel and light pale malts. Flavor the same, with a nice fruity, citrusy hop profile. Average texture. A good pale ale, but probably canít truly be classified as this.

On tap at Graydonís Crossing, Grand Rapids. I lost my notes, but this was a crisp, bright pale ale with citrus pulp and rind backed by toasty malts. Sweet and bitter. Enjoyable.

12oz Bottle. Thanks Sean! Odd Side does some great work with hops. Iíve come to find Citra a bit of a coarse creature, with itís bombastic lime and faux bubblegum, but this showcases the varietal in a nice and gentle way, with soothing soft malts, a rich middle creaminess, plenty of lime leaf in the nose, and a nice lemon afterglow. Itís elegant, graceful, and really easy to work on.

12 oz. bottle. Citra pale ale? You know Iím in. Pours a smart orange color with a mild off white head. Flavor is bitter, deliciously fruity, strong. Medium bodied, nice carbonation, finished bitter and delicious. Medium bodied, finishes on a citra hop note. This is fantastic.
