2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours an orangish amber with a medium white head. Decent head retention and OK lacing. Aroma of pineapple, citrus, some tropical fruit. Flavor is medium bitter hops, pineapple juice, and a surprising amount of malt. A bit sweet. Full bodied, palate is a bit sluggish. Bitterness fills out in the finish. Not really my style and somewhat of a rare miss for Odd Side.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle, thanks to robotopera for sharing. Labeled simply "Pineapple IPA". Clear amber color. Thin off-white head. Leaves decent lace. Citrus grapefruit citra type hops, light caramel malt, and then pineapple flavors. Not as straight pineapple juice as Hala Kahiki... More IPA plus subtle pineapple influence. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Light slick. Moderate sweet taste, moderate bitter. OK, interesting stuff to try. Not sure the pineapple works here. Maybe too much sweet caramel malt competing. Maybe try this with a golden ale base? yeah... try that !

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a dark orange with a foamy white head. Has a light aroma of pineapple and a little bit of hops. Flavor is similarly subtle. The pineapple is barely noticeable. The finish is quite bitter, and there’s even a touch of creaminess, which is interesting. Body feel is light, a tad watery. Overall a bit weak and disappointing.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
The Pineapple IPA pours a mostly clear golden orange with a small beige head that lasts a short while. The aroma is fairly faint, however, I can detect citrus, brown sugar and pineapple. The flavor is citrus, pineapple, caramel and brown sugar. The pineapple is most noticeable in the aftertaste. Overall this beer is decent, but falls short of something to notice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from beer store on Baldwin - don't know name. Nose is sweet honey and pineapple. Malty fruity up front with hop attack following. Some grainy feel as well. I really want to love it but can't. It's decent but not a home run.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 5/26/2014. Pours lightly hazy orange amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, floral, grass, light caramel, honey, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of pineapple, citrus hops, and moderate malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of juicy pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, floral, grass, pine, caramel, toast, and floral/toasted earthiness. Good amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, floral, grass, pine, caramel, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and complexity of pineapple, citrus hops, and dark/bready malt sweetness; with a good malt/bitterness balance and a fair amount of lingering astringent bitterness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, moderately sticky, and fairly creamy mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice fruited IPA. Good balance and complexity of pineapple, citrus hops, and dark/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth to drink. The bitter astringency definitely knocked this down for me, but nicely enjoyable otherwise.

Aroma is sweet, sugary though a bit musky. Flavors of light fruit, toasted grains, moderate amounts of caramel and citrus hops. The pineapple is noticeable but not overbearing.

Draft to tulip. Abv is listed as 6.5% on the beer menu. Looks solid; malty though. A transparent burnt orange with foamy off-white head. Smells good; pineapple juice with a bit of sweet pale malt. Tastes like it smells, but not quite as pineappley. Average on the palate. Enjoyable.
