On tap at The Shark Club. Poured a hazy golden color with a small sized head. More pineapple in the aromas than the tastes, but not much there. Citrus and rinds. Sweeter than bitter.

Recent bottle from Champane Cellars. More ipa than grapefruit, which is tasted only in the finish. Cloudy orange with lots of lace and head. Drinkable and bitter, not the best base IPA.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft. Good pineapple flavor in this one, expecting a bit more of the hops it comes off as more of a fruit beer than an ipa.

12oz bottle, thanks to robotopera for sharing. Labeled simply "Pineapple IPA". Clear amber color. Thin off-white head. Leaves decent lace. Citrus grapefruit citra type hops, light caramel malt, and then pineapple flavors. Not as straight pineapple juice as Hala Kahiki... More IPA plus subtle pineapple influence. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Light slick. Moderate sweet taste, moderate bitter. OK, interesting stuff to try. Not sure the pineapple works here. Maybe too much sweet caramel malt competing. Maybe try this with a golden ale base? yeah... try that !

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled from the tap at the 15th annual MBGSF. Pours a near clear orange gold with a tan head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a note of earthy pineapple with a grass note and an earthy grain backbone. Flavor has more of a grassy note with just a hint of pineapple and some backing grains.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft to tulip. Abv is listed as 6.5% on the beer menu. Looks solid; malty though. A transparent burnt orange with foamy off-white head. Smells good; pineapple juice with a bit of sweet pale malt. Tastes like it smells, but not quite as pineappley. Average on the palate. Enjoyable.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap: The aroma consists of pineapple, tropical fruits, grapefruit, and citrus. It’s a transparent amber with a small orange tinged off-white head that leaves a nice sheet of lacing on the sides of the glass. The flavor with citrus and tropical fruits. There’s a some light pineapple in the background. The finish has light-moderate grapefruit and a touch of lemon. It’s light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, the pineapple is stronger in the nose than the flavor. A very enjoyable and sessionable IPA.
