Sweet citrus nose. Thick mouth feel. A bit of sweet at first with malty hops finish. Very smooth and well balanced

Brown orange slightly occluded pour with quarter inch white head and moderate lacing. Tropical fruit punchy aroma: papaya, coconut, mellow tangerine, pineapple. Soft carbonation, thick oily mouthfeel, crisp finish. Taste leans bitter: resinous piney hop flavor mixed with biscuity malt, boozy but tropical-forward finish. Really nice subtle DIPA.

ColovianTrader (279) - - SEP 3, 2014
Sweet aroma. Very sweet taste. Perhaps too sweet. Flavors of tropical fruit juice, sweet caramel, sugar, grapefruit and cereal grains. Hints of honey and pine. Good hop presence but the sweetness subdues it too much.

a fun and and even cooler-smelling brew. oily and sticky hops present behind a "dry sugar" backbone. notes of honey and hops and malt dominate and except for a bit of heat in the finish it resembles nothing like its 10% label. nicely bitter without destroying any taste buds and well presented as an IIPA

bottle. Amber with small head. Holy smokes, this is sweet. Sugary caramel malt and big hops. The sweetness is just overpowering for me, though I dig the hops.

12 oz bottle. Clear orange with a spongy white head. Nose is orange, dough, toffee and musk. Resiny medium body with a soft buzz. Taste is orange peel, nectarine, peach and pine. Sweet and fruity but could use more of a bitter bite.

Hazy orange pour. Really nice juicy hop aroma. Taste is big on tropical fruit, juicy citrus and grapefruit, resinous hops with a big malty presence.

superspak (2602) - Michigan, USA - AUG 23, 2014
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 7/21/2014. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity of citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly slick/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent DIPA. All around great complexity and balance of citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

SpongeRuiner (714) - Michigan, USA - AUG 22, 2014
Pours a thin clear copper color with a nice laced white head. Not much aroma. A slight rusty penny nose. A creamy almost dark fruit flavor upfront. A bitter hop note mixed in. A bad aftertaste comes right up that really turns this one off for me. It turns an alright IPA into much worse. Surprised at this Odd Side effort.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a combines sweet grain, citrus and a touch of grapefruit. Flavor has sweet grains with a touch of resin and a good amount of grapefruit.
