The blend of papaya and a small dose of habaneros provide an ideal mixture of spicy and sweet.

12oz bottle - pours a pale golden color . Not much in the way of aroma . Taste is fruity up front with a hint of pepper heat on the finish . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice looking copper orange color. Tropical fruit in the aroma with a hint of chili pepper. Taste is tropical fruit with some nice peppery heat. Pretty decent.

Extra from Flandersned. Thanks! Tropical nose with light spice. Mango definitely present in taste, with habanero mostly subtle but spiked me pretty good in the nose a couple times. Well integrated with nice hop finish.

Flight pour on tap at the brewpub (Grand Haven, MI). Pours a nice golden orange. with a largely transparent body. A bit dulled with a fall golden orange glow, some lively carbonation with a firmer frothy offwhite head atop. A decent layer atop sticks as a loose film, thicker ring with nice lacing. Aromas are a bit citrusy, some earthy hops meet mellow tropical fruit, papaya nectar, mellow earthy spice. Some bready malts, some earth, more papaya with touches of kiwi, faint spiciness. Bready, nice fruit presence. Initial is lighter end of the fold in body with touches of papaya, faint metallic and earthy bitterness meet some fermented tropical fruit, papaya and faint guava. Some earthy hops, gentle bready malt. Flavorful, a bit soapy and citrusy into the middle. Some decent bitterness, grassy and floral with some white grape as we move back. the tropical fruit gives a gentle hint but a firmer hop element picks up back here. A bit bready, faint sweetness with some touches of tropical fruit nectar trying to hang on. Faint gumball, earth, nice hop presence. Fresh, tasty, a touch sweet or firmer body at times but the pepper element doesn’t show much life for me. A mellow warmth grows into backend and finish, down the throat a bit of warmth lingers and grows just gingerly throughout. A really nice beer that seems to accomplish exactly what it wants. Solid hop presence, nice tropical fruit addition with just a bit of warmth that grows, peppery life that finishes and lingers. Nice.

This one poured a cloudy lighter orange color with a white head. Aroma was of citrusy hops and pale malt. Flavor was fruityand grassy hops, with mild pepper taste and then aomse burn in the swallow. Well integrated heat and papaya.

well, an intriguing concept certainly. pours out a nice goal with light bubbles and a confusing aroma of tropical fruit and only a hint of peppery spice. there is a bit of lingering pepper heat but not exactly what i would consider hot. i was fearing a fruity clone of Cave Creek Chili Beer but it’s reasonably well-balanced and well-executed. enjoyable, but i’m glad i just bought it as a single.

Big thanks to CB for sending this my way. Clear golden pour with a small wispy head. Aroma was slightly vegetal with notes of sweet fruit and citrus. Flavors were also on the vegetal side, not a bad thing, hints of citrusy hops and just a tinge of pepper heat in the back of the throat. The heat lingers which I dig. Always love a beer that uses peppers in good form. This one has done that.

Well made beer. Starts out _incredible_. - the blend of fruit, habenero, and hops gives a spicy balanced punch. Aroma is beautiful. Sadly, it doesn’t last. About halfway through, it felt more like it’s a novelty instead of a drinkable beer. The pepper burn becomes the dominant character, and fruit and hops fade to the background. I got about 80% of the way through, and poured out the rest. It’s definitely one to try, but stop at half a beer before the pepper starts to get obnoxious.
