This poured a bright orange with a white head. Aroma was of wheat, and light grapefruit. Flavor was grapefruity , but mild, and pretty standard wheat background.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 6/30/2014. Pours very hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of citrus hops, grapefruit, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, herbal, floral, grass, slight pine, wheat, bread, light honey, and yeast earthiness. Slight pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, wheat, bread, light honey, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and solid robustness of grapefruit, citrus hops, and pale malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Not watery feeling in the flavors at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very solid pale wheat ale. All around good balance and solid robustness of grapefruit, citrus hops, and pale malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle: Very cloudy, dirty yellow with a small white head....a lot of sediment. Slightly tart grapefruit/orange aroma. Taste is sweet-tart grapefruit, wheat malt. A bit of grainy bittering.

bottle. Golden with one finger head. Wheat beers usually suffer from lack of flavor, but this is a pleasant exception. Nice grapefruit flavor with some mild hops as well. Very well done.

czar (4443) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 6, 2014
pours hazy pale yellow with a small white cap demonstrating some retention and lacing. delicate floral citrus - grapefruit moreover, dry wheatiness, lot of pepper, lean and faint fruitiness - white grapes - almost a white wine feeling, hint of mint. average carboantion - tad fizzy, light body - slightly watery, dry citrusy-very spicy-peppery medium long finish. particularly enjoyed this singular fruit wheat brew.

Another from Odd Side. It pours a bright orangish yellow with an agressive foamy smooth head. A lot of sediment so careful on the pour. A slight citrus fruit rind aroma. A little bit of dirty water in the nose. Not a whole lot of grapefruit in the taste but it is shown. A slight tart tingle in the back taste. Even without the big grapefruit flavor it does have the distinct grapefruit pulpy feel that really makes this better. Could be a nice summer beer. Quite refreshing and quenching. Not bad.

The beer pours a hazier yellow with a nice white head. This beer is unfiltered and had a bit more yeast sediment then I’d expect. The flavor was pretty heavy wheat with very little fruity flavor. In all was not my favorite Odd Side Ale.
