3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 gearbike (512) - West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA - MAR 17, 2012A pleasant surprise to find this beer while out for a great lunch. Pours a cloudy golden color. Very light with a mouthful of carbonation bubbles. Slight sweetness but overpowered by some hops. Drinkable but something is just a bit off. It clashed with the pizza and it shouldn’t.

On tap Blackthorn Pub, Holly,MI...I’m not a great fan of Amber’s to begin with, but I had yet to try any of Odd Sides beers, so I gave this a try. Decent enough as the style goes, but there was a distinctly weird flavor of caramelized BBQ chicken that just didn’t work. My first and last Jackalope...

On tap at Odd Side this past weekend. Served in a pint glass.
Pours a clear amber color with a nice off-white head and good lacing. The nose brings forward light caramel and a bit of bread. Nice notes of pine there as well. After the nose, the flavor brings forward a moderate amount of bread and caramel, plus a good bit of piney hops, which are more prevalent in the finish. Some citrus notes as well. Light body and good carbonation. Solid.

On tap; pour is murky golden amber with an average white head that retains modestly in this glass. Cobweb style lacing is very present. Biscuits, caramel, and pine come through on the nose. The flavor profile is fairly light bodied, balanced, and drinkable as you would expect. Pine, citrus zest, biscuits, and cream from the head.
