Bottle (12 oz). Thanks Tony!

Appearance: Dark brown with a small beige head and little lacing.

Aroma: Cinnamon, nutmeg, chili peppers, chocolate, light habaneros presence and vegetal notes.

Taste: Taste is hot (habaneros) and spicy (cinnamon, nutmeg) with chocolate and coffee in the background.Unpleasant vegetal presence as well.

Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Hot finish.

Overall: Unbalanced. Not enough body to handle the spices. Too hot.

bottle shared by cparles, thanks! pours unclear medium dark brown, mahogany tint, with a small light beige cap, minimal retention and lacing. obvious if not omnipreswent cinnamon and nutmeg, spicy and tingling habaneros - with their usual odd vegetal touch, some sweet and brown spicy maltiness, vanilla. average carbonation, light body - quite oily; sweetish, disturbingly tingling über-spicy finish. spicy mess. blah.

Pours a dark brown with a small brown head that leaves low lacing. Nose is of chocolate, chiles and quite reminescent of a mole overall. Taste is of peppers, chocolate and moderately hot. A little unsettling acidity like the juice from a pickled peppers jar. Body is light to medium, carbonation moderate and the hot peppers creep on you to the point it almost becomes undrinkable. Overall I thought this was OK but why would someone want to drink a full 12 oz of that?

Bottle. Flat looking black pour. Aroma is really spicy, lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, peppers. Taste is slightly acidic, not nice, really spicy, but nice pepper heat. Palate is light-med bodied with low carbonation. Decent.

What a beer. Being one to try new things, this was not a disappointment at all. The habaneros flavor was strong but not overpowering. This would be a perfect beer with a Spice meal.

So much to this one. Coffee, nutmeg, cinnamon and the perfect amount of heat at the finish.

Poured from 12 ounce bottle. Dark with minimal head. It started with a very bitter and rather unenjoyable chocolate taste. I did like the heat at the end but it could not overcome the bitter chocolate. I did not enjoy this one.

Bet this does well with some barrel age going on. Big spice and chocolate flavors with a good balance between the two. Good malt body. Smooth milk chocolate texture. Bit of pepper spice on teh finish. Pleasantly surprised here.

Pour dark, dark brown. Practically black. No real head. Softly carbonated. Wonderful mocha chocolate aroma. Stout up front, slightly bitter middle and the finish is a mild heat at the back of the tongue and the throat. Very different. Some lacing. Not something I would drink every day, but definitely something to share and enjoy as a conversation piece.

Bottle from secret Santa BlowOffTube, thanks for the opportunity! Solid black color with a smallish tan head that dissipates almost instantly. Aromas of cinnamon and nutmeg with a whole lot of chocolate and some light earth and roast to round us out. The flavor is spices up front with chocolate coming in next, nutmeg pops out again before the spicy heat settles into the back of the throat and just lingers there. Medium body with a light level of carbonation. That is a tasty beer. could use a hint more carbonation, but I still enjoyed the hell out of it .
