On tap at Bigbyís Pour House in Addison, IL., dispensed to a small snifter showing a black/brown hue, with a fingerís width of frothy, brownish tan head foam, and wavy lacing. The nose was expressive notes of roastiness, sweet milk chocolate, a bit of coffee, and spices as cinnamon & nutmeg. Medium+ bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste continued the aroma notes, and combined a dry, roasted & earthy bitterness, with a peppery heat that enhanced the flavor, and lingered pleasantly in the throat. Enjoyably unique.

12 oz. bottle served in shaker (last one from MI)- poured a non transparent black color, no head, sits very still in the vessel. Aroma of nutmeg, hot peppers, and dark chocolate. Hits the mouth with a wide body, malt is awash with nutmeg and cinnamon but a roasted malt is detectable, middle has some vanilla and tobacco, finish is kind of one note- some heat, but nothing much else really. Decent, but it just lacks something.

Caramel, Spicey, If you love stouts this is among the Finest. The kick is what makes this abit different from many Stouts. The coffee taste makes this a go to. One of my favorite Stouts. This is a break away from the usual Stout kick and I highly recommend this, The habanero is a nice touch.

bottle - Pours near black and smells of roast malt, coffee, and peppers. It has a dark roasted, sweet malt flavor backed up chocolate and coffee notes and yes, obvious spicy heat. I didnít find the heat overwhelming though. The other flavors are strong enough to compete with it and while the finish is spicy, the medium to full body eases the heat enough to make it enjoyable.

Bottle. Black with medium tan head. Aroma is coffee with earthy and cinnamon undertones. Medium-heavy body and moderate carb. Taste is coffee and dark chocolate, with habanero burn in the back of the throat all the way down the esophagus. Slight cinnamon aftertaste. Reminds me of doing "hot shots" in college. Hard to pick up much else besides habaneros. Canít say itís that enjoyable. Odd Side Ales definitely put the "odd" in this one.

Poured out the standard black with a beige head. Small amount of light penetrates around the rim. Nose is heavy spice and lots of cinnamon. Medium body with more spice and the habaneros are definitely a big player in the finish. As always I like a thicker bodied stout but I liked it. One drawback IMO would have been for the habaneros to be more subdued, otherwise decent.
