Growler shared by Steve; thanks! Pours dark brown and has a small beige head. Nose is strong pepper, chocolate, cinnamon. Flavor follows with some big coffee notes. Pretty nice mouthfeel. Overall strange and just too much like a Starbucks coffee drink.

On tap a brewpub. Aroma, straight up chocolate. Poured deep, dark and brown with a thin white head. Taste, to me, is very original. Starts out straight up chocolate and ends with an interesting chilli burn. The spicy finish balances the mocha well. Well done, very interesting. Try it.

Pours pitch black and looks deceivingly like an everyday stout. Aroma is light vanilla with coffee roast and a hint of cinnamon. Palate is Mexican chocolate laced with cinnamon with some nice roastiness. A slow building heat from some peppers possibly habaneros starts to build in the back but not overpowering, its a wonderful balance and one of my favorite beers.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 polomagnifico (1111) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - APR 4, 2013
On tap. Aroma has notes of tobacco, smoke, chocolate, chillies, coffee. Black hue with a small tan head. Flavor is medium sweet and bitter. Palate is medium bodied with average carbonation and a long burning finish. Overall an interesting brew with a good nose but I’m not to keen on these smoked chili brews.

Sweet chocolate aroma leads into a pretty damn good flavor and a successfully spicy mouthfeel. Yum!

Very strange beer. Pours dark with little to no head. Nose is all chocolate. Palate is decent with all chocolate up front, all pepper and spice on the finish.

Smells great. Too spicy. I don't like the cinnamon and mole flavors. I'm sure it's true to its name, just not my taste.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 solidfunk (1919) - Ontario, CANADA - JAN 19, 2013
Great initial smell of mocha here. Flavour doesn’t quite bring a Mayan apocalypse of taste, but the beer is still pretty good. No head, pours syrupy black. Aromas also of malt. Taste of bitterness and good dose of spice - that’s the Mexican heat I guess. Tap from Hopcat.

GABF. Dark brown pour. chocolate, chili, cinammon, molasses and roast. Flavor is light on the heat, lots of chocolate and cinammon. Not overly sweet. Pretty nice.
