bigtaster (778) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAY 16, 2015
From a bottle into a snifter. Pours a red copper clear body with a large light tan head. Mango, peach, strawberries. Very sweet, oily, mild bitterness, soft carbonation, some butter. Lingering candy sweetness on the palate with the back of the tongue dry, grapefruit. Too sweet, maybe a bit of diacetyl, on the verge of delicious.

deyholla (7712) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 11, 2015
Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a light citrus note with a bit of mild grassy hops, some sweet grains and a touch of caramel. Flavor has more of an aggressive pine note with a bit of resin, citrus and a grain backbone.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Mr_Abner (131) - Michigan, USA - MAR 23, 2015
Bottle (bottled a week ago). Pours a clear copper color. Really no hop aroma to speak of; need to struggle to find mango. Strong bitterness; a nice malty backbone underneath. Medium bodied with a strong bitter finish. Pleasant enough for one who enjoys a strong, bitter DIPA, but this is really not a very interesting beer. Could use more flavor & aroma hops, to be sure.

libertine (278) - rochester hills, Michigan, USA - MAR 22, 2015
Pours orange amber with a thick tan head. Lots of soapy lacing. Aroma is malty sweet with tropical fruit. Flavor is sweet with orange, grapefruit and resin. medium body. slick mouthfeel. Long, dry resinous finish. Good not great. Fantastic finish.

Patrickctenchi (4604) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 19, 2014
Yellow-amber with a creamy yellow-white head. Toast, bready malt scent. Syrupy, caramel malt, clingy sweet fruit. Grapefruit/pineapple...boozy....cedar notes. Ok....thick and rich.

rumproasts (3751) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 9, 2014
bottle. golden with small head. in general i’ve found odd side beers to be well above average, but this disappoints a bit. boozy dipa with big bitter hops. still, at worst it’s average -- i just have come to expect far more from this brewery.

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
czar (5364) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 7, 2014
pours hazy light golden with a thin off-white cap showing some retention and lacing. mangoes, melons, pineapple, barley sugar and other plain sugars, touch of caramel, very doughy and heavy cereals, citrus, pine, grass, booze - tingling pepper and mint. moderately low carbonation, medium body - oily and sticky, relatively sweet piney-spicy-citrusy finish. nice aroma at first whiff but turns out to be a mix of booze, caramel and barley sugar or learn how to be a hobo.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 13/20
tmoreau (2828) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - AUG 6, 2014
Shared 12 oz. bottle, poured to snifters displaying a cloudy, orangey amber color, with a modest layer of off white foam that reduced to a thin ring & film, leaving light spots of lacing. The nose was a touch of syrupy sweetness, ripened pit fruit, with a slight, musty hint, and ready alcohol. The taste continued with the fruit & syrup, spiced by a moderate, citrusy bitterness, as the alcohol brought forth some decent warmth. Not a DIPA to be reckoned with, but okay.

shrubber85 (8755) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 3, 2014
Bottle. Orange/pineapple malt and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Very sweet orange/pineapple malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel/pine flavor. Okay - very sweet.
