3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Crystal clear coloured golden body with a thin, one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of bright herbal and slightly sweet hops with a light hay and yeast note and some smells of honey and flowers. Light-bodied; Assertive floral and grassy note of hops with a good bitterness and a light finish showing mostly hops and quite a bit of grass, hay and yeast. Aftertaste is mild and pleasing with the hop flavours the strongest and no funky flavours or pungent notes, just the simcoe flavour of hops and a lot of dry, herbal notes. Overall, a nice and well received beer that shows exactly what you want from a session-style beer, a lot of flavour with no heaviness and assertive complexity. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchantís in Dearborn, Michigan on 02-August-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 20-March-2014.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz Bottle. Thanks so much, Sean! Juicy-juice pine hop aroma. Creamy and orange-like. Dry, clean presentation up front, with a slight bubblegum and plastic American hop overdose. The backend is much more satisfactory with a quenching bitter edge thatís reminiscent of pine sap and wet forests. The overall dryness and general hop bristling intensity are certainly appreciated. Very decent for a Session IPA and certainly one of the more hop intense of the Session IPAs Iíve had.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This beer pours from bottle with rather small head, very hazy, and is quite yellow. The taste is super grapefruit flavor. Seriously, it is like someone squeezed grapefruit into the beer just before serving it. If you like beer and you like grapefruit, this may be your ideal brew. Odd Side Ale Citra Pale Ale is awesome. This, so so to me, but that is largely a personal thing. It seems to be a quality beer.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Had twice -- once out of the bottle dated 5/3/13 yesterday, and this one (from a separate batch) with an erased date, poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: Not the best looking label in the world -- itís supposed to look like an acid trip, I think, with a simcoe hop sitting in front of a hippy background. Insanely hazy with very little light getting through. Thereís about a finger of head that goes to one and sticks around a little while. Even after the head is gone, the lacing is unbelievably sexy.
Smell: Unreal ... definitely highlighting the simcoe... fruity and floral as hell.
Taste/feel: At the ABV, itís hard to believe. Thereís a mild bitterness, but thereís a surprisingly nice balance with malt in there. Fruity and floral from the simcoe, with a slightly spicy malt finish that lingers extremely pleasantly. The feel is actually a bit heavier than I was expecting, which is a great thing -- I REALLY have a distaste for watered down feeling beers. The balance is what makes this beer much better than the likes of All Day IPA by Founders, which seems to be an extremely popular beer.
Not only is it a great beer at 4.5%, itís just a great beer. Smells incredible, tastes almost just as good, looks spectacular in the glass... wow. It may be $2.19 per bottle (not sure the six-pack price), but I have to say itís actually worth it. I donít normally like "session ales" (light beers), but this one is great.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is lost on me as usual thanks to my crappy sinuses. Dark yellow color. I think I understand Simcoe hops now - piney, grassy, a little bit of citrus. Not a lot of malt is obvious in this beer. Iím guessing that if you enjoy Simcoe hops, you would enjoy this beer a lot.
