Roasted coffee aroma. Deep brown-amber color with an off-white head. A nice medium, balanced stout (not too sweet or roasty). Notes: From GABF week pub visit.

Pour on tap at Odell, dark opaque black with off white/khaki head, aroma has coffee, roast, some vanilla, acidic malt, hints of cocoa, slight spice but the coffee dominates. Taste is a mix of coffee, coffee grounds, slight earth, hints of chocolate, acidic malt, some roast, finishing bitter, dry.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2014 Tap at Mtn Sun. Pours dark brown with fine, light brown head. Good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is big roasted coffee, espresso, caramel, semi-sweet. Flavor is rich coffee, espresso, chocolate, with a lingering roast finish. Very rich, coffee flavor is fresh and deep, fairly sweet. Soft carbonation, medium body, and very smooth texture. Tasty.

Pitch black with a semi-persistent khaki-hued head. Wonderful aroma of sweet milk chocolate, rich and sensual black coffee, and a touch o caramel. Flavor is just as amazing. There’s a lovely un-bitter black coffee essence, some chocolate sweetness, and a sweet creamy tone that reminds me of whipped cream and chocolate truffle. The coffee tone lasts through the finish with wonderful earthy roastiness counterbalanced by chocolaty sweetness. Holy amazeballs.
