COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Care for some hops with your hops? Before we ferment our 5 Barrel Pale Ale, we strain it through a bed of 'em. Then while it ages, we add even more. We like how this gives the beer a fresh, lively finish. We like hops.

As we go about refining the recipe for each new beer, we brew up just five barrels at a time. That's exactly how we arrived at this pale ale -- so that's what we named it. Plus, it sounded a lot nicer than Giant Vat Pale Ale.

Hazy amber pour with frothy off white head. Hop heavy spruce aroma but the toasted bread malt is easily identified. The taste is a complex symphony of multiple bitter yet refined hops playing tag with the sweet malt. Hop forward. This brew is a medium bodied pale ale with a drawn out finish. Odell, I heart you.

On tap at Mellow Mushroom. Pours a medium dark gold and makes a medium white head with great lacing. Smells of wheat and bread. Tastes of hops and hops and wheat. Very crisp. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12-oz. bottle. The nose features biscuity malts, toasted wheat bread, a balanced floral hoppy aroma with a touch of rosemary. Pours a light copper with with a thick creamy head and solid effervescence. A sharp bitter bite hits on the first sip but quickly mellows out, allowing a light caramel flavor to hold sway along with pine resin, prominent cereal grains, a touch of hay, and a minor (and surprising) rye-like spiciness. Despite the bitter start, the overall taste is well balanced. Likewise, the medium palate stays right down the middle with a slightly smooth texture and a moderate finish that concluded with a touch of bitterness. Whenever Iím in the mood for a refreshing pale ale, I often return to this brew (particularly when itís on nitro).

Sampled from a bottle at the Bull in Highgate. Copper colour with a white head. Lovely floral aromas. The taste is really delicately flavoured with hints of orange flowers, Turkish Delight and freshly-cut grass. Very pleasant and easy to drink. An interesting and original Pale Ale with great flavours.

Quite delicately hopped. Spicy with a notable floral aroma. I like it. So many bitters in England are desrcibed as having floral aromas but i generally get bread and stale flowers. This is sweet and fresh like rosewater. Well done.

On tap from the Sherraton Hotel, Steamboat Springs, Co. Orange Amber with a white head and nice lacing. The aroma is hoppy, malty, not well defined, a bit caramelish. The taste is medium sweet, bitter finish. Pretty boring.
