COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Care for some hops with your hops? Before we ferment our 5 Barrel Pale Ale, we strain it through a bed of 'em. Then while it ages, we add even more. We like how this gives the beer a fresh, lively finish. We like hops.

As we go about refining the recipe for each new beer, we brew up just five barrels at a time. That's exactly how we arrived at this pale ale -- so that's what we named it. Plus, it sounded a lot nicer than Giant Vat Pale Ale.

Odell’s makes some of my favorite beers. There are a few breweries who never disappoint. Odells has been one of those for me.Nice head out of the bottle. Sweet, golden color, faint hop/malt tastes. Very refreshing beer. Very good beer.

On tap at their tasting room. This was my favorite of their beers I think... the hops definitely stand out in taste and aroma. A bit thin. The bitterness comes out towards the end.

Had this bottled, thanks Slothgar! Deep reddish pour with a thin, off white head, nice thick mouthfeel with plenty of hops bitterness, notes of roses, and somewhat smokier than most pales. Good!

A bright amber beer with sticky resinous hop aroma with underlying peaches. Grapefruit dominant in the body alongside some pine needle followed by a bitter spike with a sweet but grapefruit pithy finish.

Slightly hazy amber gold pour, cloudy white head. Sweet, flowery, perfumy, resiny hops and some caramel, grapefruit and pineapple in the aroma. Luscious caramel, summer fruits and toasted malt in the flavour, offset by more of those sharp, bright hops, well into IPA territory here. Quite light in the body. Soft though slightly lively carbonation. More lush caramel malt in the finish. Delicious.

Tap pour at 3 Squares in a less than pint glass. Crisp quality beer that would fit well in anyone’s stable of pale ales. Little lacing. Great aroma of hops that carries throughout the beer. Not much in terms of complexity but a solid option.
