COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Care for some hops with your hops? Before we ferment our 5 Barrel Pale Ale, we strain it through a bed of 'em. Then while it ages, we add even more. We like how this gives the beer a fresh, lively finish. We like hops.

As we go about refining the recipe for each new beer, we brew up just five barrels at a time. That's exactly how we arrived at this pale ale -- so that's what we named it. Plus, it sounded a lot nicer than Giant Vat Pale Ale.

Bottle @ Olutravintola Kukko, Kemi 11.5.2013. Hazy orange coloured beer with a small head. Nice aroma of fruity hops and some caramel malts. Quite sweet flavour with caramel and pleasant but not very strong bitterness. Sweetness with bitterness, soft, oily mouthfeel with low carbonation makes this a quite nice brew.

Bottle. Aroma has leafy hops and bready malts. Flavor is mildy hoppy and malty, quite bland. Mouthfeel is oily and a bit leathery. Easy to drink and doesn’t have any off-flavors or aroma. Nice but not great.

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Hotel glass (half pint, half snifter) From: Wilbur’s Total Beverage in Fort Collins, Colo. Price: Part of a variety 6-pack for $9.99 Purchased: May 2, 2013 Consumed: May 2, 2013 Misc.: Best by July 24, 2013 Poured a orange amber sparkling color with 1-2 fingers of off-white head. Pretty bubbly underneath. Decent amount of sporadic lacing on the sides. Good retention all the way down. Floral hops leads the way with the smell. Also citrus hops - orange peel, orange, grapefruit and faint lemon - with a lasting bitter, slightly resin hops finish. Tasted more like a pale ale than the smell. Got floral hops, orange rind, grapefruit, grass hops and bread. That bitterness goes away with the taste. Light body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Refreshing, slightly bitter finish. A very good beer for my first try at O’Dell’s. Good thing I have a few more in my hotel bathroom sink.

golden amber/orange color. Large white head that reduced down to about a quarter inch that lasted throughout. Has a great malty and slightly citrus hop aroma. Taste is malty up front with a subtle hop finish that is well balanced and not overdone...great pale ale.

12 fluid oz. bottle. Pours a hazy orange amber colour, frothy white head that diminishes and aroma of caramel, mango & floral citrus hop. Sweetish caramel malt taste with hoppy mango, zesty orange & grapefruit citrus and a light lingering bitterness. Slightly watery body, medium carbonation. Quite drinkable pale ale.
