COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Richer than most amber ales, 90 Shilling is smooth & deeply satisfying, with a crisp, clean Colorado taste. The name comes from the old Scottish method of naming a brewery's beer, based on original gravity and resulting tax rating.

From Beers of Europe. Hazy rose colouring, with a yellowing foamy head. The aroma is faintly yeasty/earthy and floral. Despite the decently rich malt flavours, the hops are never far from then palate and linger moreso than anything else, giving a slightly tart finish. Some burnt malt creeps in, to bring a little more of a Scottish feel to the taste. This is enjoyable and pretty well balanced.

. Dark copper color with a medium head. Biscuity aroma. More biscuit, toast and bready malt flavor. Light caramel. A bit dusty. More bitterness than I would expect for the style

My go to session when I’m in Colorado and head and heels above Fat Tire in the essential "Colorado" beer in my opinion. A nice malty, caramel sweet finish that leaves you wanting more.

12 oz bottle from Tournament. Caramel colored pour with an eggshell colored head. Malty, sweet, caramel aroma and the flavor is more of the same. Finish really brings out a caramel flavor. Very approachable beer for BMC drinkers and yet enough for seasoned beer drinkers to really enjoy as well!

After having two these, all I can say is solid. Strong malt flavor grips you from start to finish. Nothing else pops out. A spice or something might make this beer sing.

12oz bottle pours amber in color with tan head. Aroma honey, grain, and caramel malts. Taste has a nutty roasted flavor with caramel, light bitter on the finish. Not bad but not all that exciting.
