COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Richer than most amber ales, 90 Shilling is smooth & deeply satisfying, with a crisp, clean Colorado taste. The name comes from the old Scottish method of naming a brewery's beer, based on original gravity and resulting tax rating.

Got this in a great BIF rating. Pours a deep amber with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, malt and hop. Taste is crisp and well balanced between caramel, hop and maltiness. Really nice smooth beer. Id have it anytime.

Popular beer, enjoyed on tap at the Yard House, Scottsdale. Good white head that leaves lace. A fresh smell, a tad of smoke sourness. Above average mouthfeel. Nice drinking.

Slightly hazy red/brown pour with a light tan head. Aroma is toasted bread, caramel and dried dark fruits. Medium sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, average carbonation. Flavors of toasted malt, and a brief appearance by the hops. Decent beer, not too complex. Session beer.

Bottle, pours cloudy golden. The nose is sweeter than the taste, nice malty and smoooth. Enjoyable beer!

Bottle, clear amber with good foam and lace, aromas of caramel and pecan shells, flavor has some caramel and roasted nuts but a vegetal note as well, finish is a bit thin

Bottle. Pours a large, billowy, off-white head. Clear, reddish-brown body. Big caramel malt nose with milk chocolate notes apparent at arm’s length. Biscuity malt and spicy, earthy hops. Some bread crust and a touch of raisin. Pleasant, rich malt. Lots of chewy caramel flavor with some light toast and earthy hop. Nice, but not as layered and complex as the aroma. Medium bodied, average carbonation, malt forward with nice hop balance to keep the malt from overpowering. Clean finish. Overall nicely done and repeatable.

Rich amber pour, light head. Aroma has caramel, yeast, and light honey. Flavor is a bit malty sweet and has a nice hint of honey, caramel, and a bit of nutiness. Nice beer and it goes great with food.
