COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Richer than most amber ales, 90 Shilling is smooth & deeply satisfying, with a crisp, clean Colorado taste. The name comes from the old Scottish method of naming a brewery's beer, based on original gravity and resulting tax rating.

Typical english yeast aroma. A thin malty taste. A little sweet. Nothing special really.

Bottle. Thanks to Justin. Big malty nose, caramel, light spiced cake, and brown sugar. Copper/amber color. Solid malt initial, moderate toasted stuff, just a hint of chocolate throughout, light tobacco, and a mild bitter finish. Medium body. Good stuff. Very tasty and balanced.

Grainy and slight sweetness and a hint of bitterness come from this clear darkish Amber brew. A grainy taste at first then bitterness follows and overpowers. It's medium bodied and has good carb. For an amber there isn't much sweetness and a bit to much bitterness. Not a bad brew overall.

Old rating. Brown Amber colored. Nice rich nutty and malty taste. Slight spice. Creamy mouthfeel. One of my go to's back in day.

Clear amber body with a thick beige head. Aroma is light malty, caramel and a bit fruity. Taste is sweet with mild bitterness. Texture is creamy, soft to average carbonation, bitter finish. Nice refreshing ale. Not too heavy.

Pours dark amber, with a quickly shrinking head. Smells nutty, bread, even a mild coffee note. Medium bodied with a thin texture, has a dry finish with lively carbonation. Taste is more biscuit, malts, and mild hop presence. Good

very nice. The word here is maltiness. It’s the strongest flavor note, and delivers well.

12 oz pour from refrigerated bottle into Boulevard stemmed tulip glass. Dark amber to brown. Rich color. Light head with moderate lacing. Fairly opaque. Nose is malty. It might be too cold, but I’m not getting too much else there. Mouthfeel is a bit thin with light carbonation. Taste is very nice. Strong maltiness backbone with notable hops up front. Flavors are pretty light. A good bitter aftertaste too. All in all, a tasty and subtle beer. Smooth and drinkable.

Draught. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a moderate off white head on there. Nose is malty and light, with bits of caramel and bread in there. Taste and feel are both light and easy, with just a hint of bready sweetness.
