3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz tulip glass draft at Martin City Brewing in Martin City, Missouri. The pour is mostly clear black brown with some light ruby. 1/2 inch tan head falls with nice lace. The aroma is a faint roast earthiness, floral, softly sweet vanilla, a touch of earth, and a pleasant grain wheat underneath all of it. Ton going on in the nose. The taste is some floral fruit up front, lightly sweet vanilla, soft yeast character, and an ever so light ash. As the beer warms, the cinnamon really comes out. This is a tough beer to explain, quite a bit going on. The palate is medium bodied, bright carbonation, and the after taste lingers with earth and the light roast. Tasty.
