Bottle shared by Eric- thanks man. Pours a almost totally black color with a medium brown head. The aroma is mostly sweet chocolate and cocoa, light sweet fruit. The flavor is a bit like a fruity cup of dark tea; sweet cocoa, a light roast, some tart and sweetness from the peaches. Interesting and fairly unique.

Tasted 4/11/11. 750ml cork and cage bottle. Pours filtered with a dark brown hue with ruby highlights. Moldy khaki head. Aromas of smoke and dark berries. Medium bodied with flavors of pitted fruits and dark toasted malts. Malty flavors of brownies and chocolate cake with the fruity punch hitting mid palate. Nice and sticky finish. This was very well done!

Bottle: Dark brown pour with two fingers of creamy tan head. Nose is mostly peaches, a light roast that conveys dryness, and faint cocoa. Tastes roasty with a subdued barrel presence that is mild and lightly dry. Chocolate and some peaches, although not nearly as fruity as the nose. The fruitiness works well to balance the dryness from the roast and barrel notes. Enjoyable.

Bottle at the release of batch 3 Rosso down at Captain Lawrence. Pours a hazed lightly murky brown with a thin beige head. Roast and toast, fuzzy peach, slightly old. Slightly sweet toast and roast. There’s an odd bitterness as well. Tannic and roast on the finish. Meh.

Odell avant peche. 750ml bottle. Thanks to Andy... Pours a darker hued
blackish cola with a fluffy light beige head... Aroma has a mild
roasty chocolate bent with a mild degree of fruityness alongside a
soft sour taint... Flavors are porterish for a small degree with a
sour bretty bent. Can’t say there’s much of a peach focal point but
there’s some unpolished ripened fruit. Darker in style and nature. Ok

Tasted on 4/10/11 from a 750mL corked and caged bottle purchased at Sun Devil. Pours cloudy black/red with an average tan head that slowly recedes to thin lace. The nose is dark malt, fruity peach, dark chocolate, coffee, and even more peach. The flavor is lighter than expected with tons of peach, dark malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long peach and dark chocolate finish.

Sample from a bottle from an unknown source at One Funky Afternoon at Jackie O’s on 04/02/2011: The beer pours dark brownish black with a medium khaki head that has a lot of large bubbles around the edges. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malt and peaches. Medium to full body with flavors of tart peach, sweet malt and mild hops. The finish is fruity with a lingering roasty malt aftertaste. Enjoyable beer overall.

750 mL cork finished bottle. Black with tan head. Very high carbonation. Nose of alcohol, fresh peaches, sour fruit (I liken it to pie cherries, but I’m sure it’s related to the peaches), wood and roasty malts. Flavor is peach and porter. Some nice sour characteristics in there too, but muddled. Overall, not altogether impressed with this beer - it just seems pretty coarse. Not sure about the combo of dark beer, peaches and sour. Has a really nice creamy mouthfeel and some alcohol warmth. I’m sure it’s well made being from Odell, I’m just still on the fence...

Bottle thanks to dionysus. Pours black tan head. Nose of peaches and cream, chocolate malts, lightly tart fruit and barrel. Taste is same, lightly tart sour porter with peaches. Interesting and tasty.
