xnoxhatex (790), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 12, 2007 On tap at FoBAB ’07. A dark brown/red color. Fruity, oaky aroma. Flavor is oaky, slight alc, red fruit, bourbon. Thin to medium body, little carb. Pretty oaky and well aged. waolsen (962), Littleton, Colorado, USA Jul 23, 2007 sampled at brewery. bourbon style was the description. brown. ice clarity. soapy white head. rich aroma. bourbon, wood, malts. a bit thin but great bourbon flavoring. rich malts, paper. seemed somewhat incomplete but a very nice effort. Crosling (1644), Loveland, Colorado, USA Jul 15, 2007 Draught @ the brewery. Dark brown in color with shades of ruby. Aroma wasn’t quite as powerful as the non barrel aged version. Flavor profile was nicely balanced, but overly subtle and not very powerful. Didn’t seem like this was aged in bourbon long enough. It seemed to mute more flavors from the original beer than the wood added.
